OK, if the trio of Chud, Butch and Schiano are the top 3...

Need a guy like Butch with instant cred...sure he left a LONG time ago and really the program has been down ever since...holding grudge over the past will keep the program in the dark...which will be magnified with FSU awakened

Butch: Chances are this will be his last job which can last another 10 years and he can finish what he started in 1996. Paul Dee is gone, and the few BOT members who have hard feelings towards him can be persuaded easily.
Curtis Johnson: Familiar with SFL, is a **** of a recruiter and Xs and Os, has the Saints systems and has the staff in place at Tulane that will fit well here.
Chud: He can bring a **** of a staff and knows offense. Was an OK recruiter while here.



Distant last place: Schiano. He will leave us for penn state when PSU fires Golden, Dejavu all over. His style of football is win ugly. Just don't like the dude.
 
Schiano could bring the Stache with him as well. That tips him up a bit for me.

But really Chud is a good hire as well IMO. Couldn't go wrong with any of them. Chud had Cleveland playing well this season before injuries destroyed their season. Sure it looks bad now but he's a guy who through half an NFL season was looking good.
 
James Franklin is the black Al Golden. Guy beats only horrible non bowl teams and gets DESTROYED by ranked teams. Would be awful.

Im hearing Charlie strong hasnt accepted the texas deal yet. Maybe he is waiting on Miami. I bet He knows he can win it all here. And soon.

Is the $EC the only reason Vandy can pay Franklin $3 million? They're a private school. They have a smaller enrollment than Miami (by a couple thousand), they have less alumni, they have worse attendance (though it is an on campus stadium, so they get all the $). They do have a much larger endowment, so I might have just answered my question with that right there.

I disagree. Franklin can coach and he had done it in the SEC no the MAC. Plus, Vandy has the lowest budget in the conference.

Please tell me what James Franklin has done to earn the Miami job? He's fiery? A good recruiter? What exactly makes this guy a good candidate other than having an agent that mentions him for every single opening. Aka, he's Al
