We're not good on defense right now. Period.

We played man, we played zone, we blitzed (basically the entire last drive), we dropped linemen. We're bad. The talent has to improve.

We do this every time we lose a game. We all knew there was going to be some frustrating, head scratching losses this season.

So you want to fire this coach and bring in another one to re-institute a whole new plan and system that will take another 2-4 years to instill? And that instability on top of future sanctions is going to do what to our recruiting?? And on top of that, you asking for our coach's head every time we lose is a **** poor representation of our fan base (to the already bad rep our fan base gets for having an empty stadium) to the recruits that read this board. McGee has been progressing since his freshman year, Pierre is definitely showing signs of progress but Gunter, EJ and McCord still leave a lot to desire... To be fair we can't use development for those 3 until next year... The OP is overreacting, we just have to be patient as well... We can't overreact after a loss and we can't do the same if a player makes a good play... Its going to take some time with this program...

If the ************ can't figure out a way to stop a ****** 2-6 UVA team, and makes a crap GT squad look like the Four Horsemen, and gets beat by the scrambling ND QB over and over and over, and gives up 450 yards to an awful Boston College QB, and and and and and.... the list of failures is outstripping Bronzen's ability to make valid excuses for it. When you reach that point, it's time for a change.

This is ****ing Miami. Even our poor players are better than half or more of other programs in the country. I just cannot swallow being one of the 5 worst defenses in the entire country, regardless of talent. There is something shockingly wrong and broken with our defense and when that's the case, you fire the person responsible for it and start over.


I feel bad for Bronzen, just because he's going to have to ****can one of his closest friends, but it has to be done. It will be the end of Bronzen himself if he doesn't find someone who can gameplan better than the dude we have currently. Untenable situation on his hands now.

When are y'all people gonna get it? Go take a look at the draft boards, there ain't NOBODY on our squad there and we have no experience to just scheme the **** out of somebody which I'm not even sure Donofrio is capable of. This is the perfect storm folks.

Is the perfect formula for the defense we are currently fielding. It's a different story when you have a guy like Gary Patterson who can scheme you to death, but also has kids who have been around for 2 decades, who know the defense like the back of their hands. That allows you to put new things in during the week. We're still coaching our base defense during the week, forget installing new stuff.

Does uva have better talent? Their D got stops when needed. Ours was rushing three and losing the game when called upon.

Alot more fight, alot more heart with this club. We lost in a heartbreaker. Not worried.

How good will this defense be next year? I have seen two seasons of him being well below average. Does anyone here think the D will be top third in the country next year? Three seasons to do what? I dont think well be much better next year. I think well be good enough to close a game out like this next year.. I do think his play calling is vanilla at best. When we do make a good defensive stand it seems like we shoot our self in the foot with a stupid penalty.. Theres only about 4 guys on this defense good enough to be playing at this level too bad their all soph. or younger. The rest should be riding the pine and learning.

For the record, even though the defense as a whole had a major breakdown at the end and was very inconsistent, there were stretches in that game where we were getting mad pressure on the Q...now about golden's status, next year is the last straw...he'll be out of excuses, Stephen Morris has had a full year to grow under fish and golden, the defense cannot use the young excuse anymore, we will be returning a lot of experience,if not all our starters on the o line, and in general were pretty much returning all our starters except for mike james(I have faith in duke and OT) and Brandon mcgee( hopefully Gunter and Howard can continue to improve and Thomas finnie shakes off his worse game because he had been playing better IMO) on top of that the whole "Shannon's guys" excuse will be gone too cuz the vast majority of the players will be Al's...let's face it we had an inexperienced qb and defense this year and we lost our two top receivers and our leading rusher...next year we will return most of our D, our qb, our top 3 receivers, most, if not all of our o line, and our leading rusher....this year I understand, next year NO EXCUSES AL
