Why wouldnt they? My reading of the OP is that they were informed he wasnt coming ON the in home visit, and or at the school, and that is when the decision to make Kirkland sh*t or get off the pot took place.

Maybe. Could very well be they have known for a WHILE MT was not coming. I said this weeks ago and got roasted, but look at how many LBs they offered. If they felt good about MT, why were we offereing new LBs with 2 already on board, and 1 likely coming? We werent going to be taking 5Lbs in a limited class. They may well ahve known MT was a long shot, and they got tired of getting jerked around by Kirkland and Harris.

There are also some rumors out there that there could be a money thing going on regarding $EC.

YES, sorry, I started one thought and meant to correct it in the post by never fixed it. I meant the visit at the school when they spent an hour with MT. I wrote in home when I meant the school visit/meeting before meeting with Kirkland. Supposedly the ultimatum came later last night after the parade though no?

I agree. But 4LIFE is saying they were informed DURING the in-home with Thomas.... which didn't happen until after the Kirkland drama was already public. Unless I'm reading it improperly. Apologies if so.

Gents, remember, this didnt happen yesterday at the school, it was last night after the parade when Barrow went BACK to BTW and made Kirkland the ultimatum.

Sorry, that was MY FAULT. I had meant to say the school visit at BTW, not the in home. What time did the inhome end though, because the ultimatum Barrow gave him was not during the day, it was last night after the parade.

Golden isnt going to play that "game". At least not on the level of some of these other schools. There is 1 recruit last year i know for a fact who got dropped like a bad habit for something like that. Patience is needed to do things the "right" way. Real talk recruiting some of these "known" high 4/5 star recruits ain't easy. Especially SOME of those kids in south Florida. Honestly it's not always the kid who is looking for a handout, but their parents/uncle scooter/grandma/handler/agent/etc..... Alot of these KIDS already have KIDS. Pampers, formula, **** adds up. Golden sells ACADEMICS alot harder then the previous staff.

Same ****, just a different year with a different player and a different HS coach. It's almost signing day- go have a drink, smoke weed, have ***, all three... whatever your vices are, go do them. Ain't no use in getting all *****ed up five days from signing day. Just think, this time next year, you guys will be saying the same **** about Sony or Chad or some other 2014 kid. And then 2015. Etc...

In the long run, I believe Golden's way will appeal to the masses in the 305. But it's gonna take time( and W's). The culture change we all have hoped for, it turns out extends beyond just the Hecht Center

Anyone else get the feeling we're recruiting against Lice Harris? This dude's trying to act like he has no influence on his players when anyone who has spent any time in the area knows that he has a ton of influence. The whole story about Lice saying that Thomas had to honor his commitment to travel to USC when he was thinking about joining that giant recruiting weekend on the 18th at UM now rings hollow with his recent cancellation of the trip to UGA doesn't it? Lice is harboring animosity toward Al just like a couple other corches in the 305 are because their buddy Shanntard got the ziggy.
 
If you try your hardest and fail...you still failed.

With that said, I'm just going to wait until Signing Day at this point...no need to get worked up until we see some official LOIs and announcements.
