Anyone else get the feeling we're recruiting against Lice Harris? This dude's trying to act like he has no influence on his players when anyone who has spent any time in the area knows that he has a ton of influence. The whole story about Lice saying that Thomas had to honor his commitment to travel to USC when he was thinking about joining that giant recruiting weekend on the 18th at UM now rings hollow with his recent cancellation of the trip to UGA doesn't it? Lice is harboring animosity toward Al just like a couple other corches in the 305 are because their buddy Shanntard got the ziggy.

I hinted at this a month ago but was told that I was mistaken, Ice was BFFs with the U. I just don't see it.

Just to give a timeline (and people can say its revisionist, but whatever), this is the info I have.

On Monday, I got a tip that Thomas was leaning towards getting out if Miami and that this might lead to dropping Kirkland. I was skeptical, but the source is pretty impeccable. Then the Kirkland news drops yesterday. Cash is $, so his news about a meeting makes perfect sense. But we also had our in-home last night, and a UM source I spoke to at 11 pm was confident on Thomas.

Bottom line? Welcome to recruiting. I will say this: if Thomas leaves, he was never going to stay. We could not have done more.

Funny thing is I laid that exact hypothetical out last night in the 50 page thread. I get the feeling our corches know they're recruiting against Lice Harris at this point, and they want to get some answers as early as possible on those BTW dudes.

This doesn't make any sense at all.
Thomas told Miami he's not coming, and it led Miami F*** up his teammate. But later on they did in-home visit with Thomas?

Apparently Thomas informed coaches he's not coming to Miami and its part of what led to the Kirkland situation. This happened before yesterday's events and there was a meeting with Thomas last night but highly doubtful at this point. That's all I have right now on this. When I get more I'll share.

You mean to tell me you can't have a few white hoes and a couple stacks waiting on a few "must gets" a year without getting fought by these keystone cop muhfukkas?!?!? DA F-U-C-K, man !!!!!!!

Golden isnt going to play that "game". At least not on the level of some of these other schools. There is 1 recruit last year i know for a fact who got dropped like a bad habit for something like that. Patience is needed to do things the "right" way. Real talk recruiting some of these "known" high 4/5 star recruits ain't easy. Especially SOME of those kids in south Florida. Honestly it's not always the kid who is looking for a handout, but their parents/uncle scooter/grandma/handler/agent/etc..... Alot of these KIDS already have KIDS. Pampers, formula, **** adds up. Golden sells ACADEMICS alot harder then the previous staff.

In the long run, I believe Golden's way will appeal to the masses in the 305. But it's gonna take time( and W's). The culture change we all have hoped for, it turns out extends beyond just the Hecht Center

People want to see Ws and draft picks. Some of the kids want to live the "rock star" life in college also. BAMA and FSU have a better ALL AROUND infrastructure in place at the moment. SANCTION TALK also put a huge strain on the staff when trying to recruit. That's why 2014 is settting up to be a HUGE YEAR. Golden has the staff in place, facilities are getting upgraded, etc..... Top 5 recruiting class next year. No doubt.

No way Lice is tight with UM after Al ran him off from his cushy big money gig at UM. Never bought it. Never. I used to post on another board and used to tell those dudes that Lice wasn't in Al's corner for the simple reason that you aren't going to love some dude who ran you off from a cushy gig. They told me his sons went to UM and he's a UM guy dyed in the wool. Pffftt. I didn't buy it then, and I don't buy it now.

We laughed at the dudes claiming we had a shot at Hargreaves Jr. because we knew there's no way his kid was coming to the school that scapegoated him during Coker's "let me fire everyone to hold onto my job another year" move.
