Next year qb

Scale of 1 to 10 -- what's Allison on the athleticism scale ? Is he a statue like Kaaya? Or does he have enough ability to effectively run the RPO. He throws a beautiful ball.

Allison is a better athlete than Kaaya as far as running the ball. I saw him play his senior year at Palmetto. He's certainly no Russell Wilson, but he's not a sitting duck either. That said, he's very tall/thin so he's not going to be a guy where we design running plays for him. He does have the athletic ability to escape the rush, or roll out and run if there's nobody open.

That's all I can ask for... Don't need a mobile qb to be successful.... Just pocket awareness and a little giddy-up and throw on run if need be

Yes, it's two plays the QB has the option to run. We get it dude.

But you'd be hard pressed to find a coach who'd prefer to run it w a non mobile QB.

Allison...

I'm probably one of the biggest Perry fans on here, but I think he'll need a redshirt, not just to put on weight but just to get a full grasp of the Offense.

Redshirt Freshman's have had a lot of success in today's era college football, I see the same with Perry... If he was an EE, then I would say he gets it hands down.

I like Weldon a lot too, he's got that competitive chip on his shoulder that will make him a really good QB down the line, but I don't think he'll be ready day 1 either.
Haven't seen him much please tell me he can move

Perry...he's Richt's guy

I agree with Rok. Richt fell into Allison. Not saying he wouldn't have recruited him but I think Pete said Perry was #1 prospect on our board. I think he atleast gets a shot so expect to go into fall practice with QB unsettled unless someone absolutely lights it up in the spring

This is the dumbest thing I've read today. RPO has nothing to do with a QBs feet. It's not the zone read. Peyton Manning ran it to death in Indianapolis. Only reason it sucks here is because our oline struggled to run into 7 man fronts and Kayaa was trying to force throws when the read was to hand ito off

He ran it some in Denver as well. Still stand by the sentiment that offenses anchored in it are better suited w a mobile QB.

Considering our depth and talent at running back next year (assuming we get McFarland and Edwards transfers), and our lack of proven talent at wide receiver next year besides Richards, I personally would start Rosier and run a zone read, run heavy offense. Rosier is good for 8 to 10 carries a game, and he probably would thrive in that kind of offense. Running the ball down the opposing teams throat and playing great defense gets us 10 regular season wins next year, at least.

Kaaya is a good (not great) QB. Rosier is a backup at this level. No way we win more games with Rosier at QB.

Rosier is just as, if not more talented than Pedo State's QB, who won 11 games this year. If that guy can win 10 games, Rosier can.

This argument is so flawed on so many levels, I don't even know where to begin.

That is just another way of saying "I don't have anything to refute that statement".

Penn st qb threw for 3300 yards, 25tds, and only 5 picks.

Rosier would have put similar numbers, maybe fewer passing yards and 2 or 3 more interceptions, but more rushing yards.

Perry...he's Richt's guy

Hard to see a true freshman starting without being enrolled for the spring.

lol that's funny!!!! you do realize our starting qb started as a true freshman and he wasn't a early enrollee.

Perry...he's Richt's guy

Except Kaaya right?!

I do realize that, but that was a unique situation because the heir apparent was recovering from ACL surgery. If Ryan Williams had been healthy, Kaaya wouldn't have started. There was virtually zero competition for the job.

evan sherrifs or nkosi perry, rosier is avg at best , Allison I could also win it but is more like kayaa then Charlie ward who I think richt would rather have and sheriffs almost won backup job in spring. is very accurate passer also.

rosier barely beat out sheriffs and Allison last year. in fact until last day of spring sheriffs was leading. I think to many are looking at stars and not at the whole picture, sheriffs is very accurate Allison also has a huge chance to start. rosier could but I just think the other qb's on roster already are better,
