ND started Spring Practice

Win on TOs, and keep it even on STs. Balance offense. Get their QB on the ground, and don’t let Love and Price run for 300 yards. Their defense will be excellent, but I am confident we will move the ball and score TDs. Going to come down to our DL and LBs. Can they be good enough to win a top 5 type matchup. Notre Dame is definitely a top 5 team on talent. I think Vegas has the game about right. Miami moves to a slight favorite if Beck has a good summer. Game can go either way. Can’t wait. For the guys on the board my age, this is the matchup.

Once again. It’s not going to be about stopping them as much as it will be about our offense moving the ball and scoring points. Their defense is their identity. If we can build a lead, they’re not built to come back. If we get lazy or turn it over it plays right into what they want to do.

That’s my mindset. Not saying we are this years Ohio state, but you saw once they were down 2 scores that their entire strategy went down the drain. It was then scramble mode and uncomfortable for them to try and generate plays. Add in hopefully 60k drunk ********, and we should be in good shape.

Why do you say they aren’t built to come back?

My friends kid was a walk on at ND and never saw the field for one play. Got to travel to a few away games and all the Bowl games. Would not trade the experience for anything.....
Having it on he's application for Med school really helped he said.
My step-dad and a lot of his friends are ND alum. I love the guy, but I’m going to throat punch all those pussies week 1. ****em

Why do you say they aren’t built to come back?
Because they’re not a quick strike team. They weren’t explosive in the pass game at all last year. Steve Angeli has thrown the ball well in limited appearances the last few seasons but he’s a statue and they really prefer a running quarterback. He’s kind of the career backup type. They’re likely going to go with CJ Carr who’s an athletic redshirt freshman. Riley Leonard was their second leading rusher last year with over 900 yards and 17 touchdowns. Their entire offense revolves around a running quarterback. Scoring fast while being run heavy is tough.

Also, while Notre Dame averaged 5.7 yards per carry last year against FBS teams, Miami was next with 5.6. So Miami was just as efficient running the ball but also had the benefit of a passing game that could score lighting fast.

In 2023, Cam Ward turned the ball over more than Tyler Van Dyke. It’s a good thing we didn’t sign that turnover machine that Washington State didn’t want anymore.

So you’re a ND fan or what? Because that board is over there >>>>>.
Guess what? Miami started spring practice as well. You’re sure spittin’ a lot of ND news with those 13 posts. Thanks for the update.

When that night comes I’ll be a convict, just like I was on 11/11/17. I remember ND was supposed to walk the dog on us back then too. Thanks to that game I have tinnitus and ain’t never gotten rid of it. Hopefully it gets worse on 8/31.

BTW, just cuz the game is at night, don’t think it won’t be a sauna. Have a nice day.
Well my nephew was on the team last year, & would be this year too if not for the 105 limit. So I watched every single game of theirs & talk football with him weekly. So yeah, as long as he is associated with the team, I will be a fan.

The real question is, who are you pulling for week 0?

I can tell U what....it doesn't matter what ND OL looks like or RB Love can do.....when your QB is TRASH.....they have no idea about their QB play and they are terrified.

This is a fact!!
I wouldn’t call their QB trash.
I’ve seen trash QB play, LOL, & even if it’s Angeli, he is good, not great, but not bad. Definitely not trash. Trash would be Florida’s QB play multiple times the past decade.

ND logic. The guys that played the entire season were just backups.
I can actually answer this because I met two of them, LOL.
The starting LT, Jagusah, was hurt in preseason. His backup was Baker, who then got beat out by Knapp in fall camp.
The Center, Craig, got hurt early in season, Coogan replaced him.
The LG was Pendleton, who got beat out early in season.
The RG, Schrauth, got hurt & replaced by Spindler.
Baker is out of eligibility and gone. Coogan, Spindler & Pendleton all entered the portal after the season because all the original starters are back, and they all have eligibility past this season. (Jagusah, Knapp, Craig, Schrauth, Wagoner).

I talked to him last night, and even though ND has a couple kids (Lambert & Absher) a lot of ND fans want to pass up starters, they look like they will line up the following way at the end up spring:
LT Knapp
LG Schrauth
C Craig
RG Jagusah
RT Wagoner

ND fans want Lambert to start and for Knapp to move inside. Typical spring freak outs. LOL

Yeah, if my nephew isn’t on the team. He will be there on the sideline regardless, though, managerial role. So maybe someone can throw a beer bottle in his direction to keep him on his toes. LOL
But it’s weird when you actually meet the players and spend time with them. Like when your college players go to a NFL team you hate. You root for the players, but not the team.

I have a cousin on the team I hate most in all of sports. Unfortunately, he actually plays, so I understand the logic.

Bruh he is trash!

He sat the bench for 4 years to the fact that they went and got 2 seperate portal QBs all while he is there. He is trash!

Scholarship QB at ND don’t sit for 4 years and he decent.

If that happened at Miami you wouldn’t be having the same tune.
