ND started Spring Practice

Bruh he is trash!

He sat the bench for 4 years to the fact that they went and got 2 seperate portal QBs all while he is there. He is trash!

Scholarship QB at ND don’t sit for 4 years and he decent.

If that happened at Miami you wouldn’t be having the same tune.
He’s going into his Junior year, so hard to sit for 4 years?
He was passed over for Sam Hartman & Riley Leonard, both Grad transfers. He wasn’t passed over by bums.
And the starter will probably be Carr, the top 5 QB. I was just saying even if it was Angeli, he isn’t trash. I just googled his career stats:
58/80, 72.5%, 10 TDs, 1 Int. 192.3 rating.

His response was the typical uneducated, tough guy response that has become a staple of CIS. Appreciate what YOU bring to the
Uneducated? That’s rich coming from a guy like you. And I never professed to be a tough guy, so don’t get it twisted. But I can tell you one thing, you’re like the players we’ve had for the last 18 years or so minus the last couple. Glad Mario is changing that.

He’s been good when he’s played but there’s definitely a reason why they’re going out of their way to play him. Similar to our situation where our coaches would pretend to be really high on Williams and Anderson but were constantly trying to get quarterbacks through the portal.

I dont know if you're the resident spokesmen for ND but you are being way to homerish with this take.

You just said he got passed up twice....It was done then. This means they dont think he is good enough. I get it, kids to go ND because if dreams but this is not ideal.

Then you say that Carr will be the starter in the same breathe. So now 3 QBs will pass him up.

Just stop! He is trash or else he wouldnt get passed up 3 times. And this is his "Red Shirt Junior" year so this is his 4th season

I would love for you to make this argument if this was the resume for a Miami QB

He’s much better than Emory. He’s played in 21 games the last two years including starting their bowl game in 2023 and completing 6-7 in their CFB semifinal win against Penn State. So it’s not just a bunch of garbage time stat padding.

Like I said earlier, he’s probably not going to be their starter but I wouldn’t rule out him getting action against us especially with a redshirt freshman likely being their starter. He’s about as capable of a backup quarterback as there is and I wouldn’t rule take him in a heartbeat over Emory or Judd.

All that equals trash to me....getting passed by 3 QBs aint a good look and all those BS stats dont hide reality

Yeah, you're all bad acting like a tough guy on the keyboard telling some fan to basically GTFOH simply because he posted some useful info on one of our opponents...he wasn't disrespectful or claimed ND was going to beat us, but you felt the need to speak for the board in telling him off.

Some of us on the board welcome input from fans of other teams as long as they're respectful and provide useful info. If that makes me soft, which is what you're implying, my deployments to Iraq and the middle east say otherwise

Because they’re not a quick strike team. They weren’t explosive in the pass game at all last year. Steve Angeli has thrown the ball well in limited appearances the last few seasons but he’s a statue and they really prefer a running quarterback. He’s kind of the career backup type. They’re likely going to go with CJ Carr who’s an athletic redshirt freshman. Riley Leonard was their second leading rusher last year with over 900 yards and 17 touchdowns. Their entire offense revolves around a running quarterback. Scoring fast while being run heavy is tough.

Also, while Notre Dame averaged 5.7 yards per carry last year against FBS teams, Miami was next with 5.6. So Miami was just as efficient running the ball but also had the benefit of a passing game that could score lighting fast.

They will be a much different team on offense and look to push the ball down the field to a group of very good WRs. Plus they get their backs and TEs involved. We have to protect Beck, get their QB under pressure and tackle those RBs in space. Great matchup. Hope we are up to it.

I don't need no insight on my first opponent nor do I wear panties or underwear. The dude is basically pumping up ND on our board and I don't want to hear about it. If you do, slide on over to the ND board and get your fill. This is a MIAMI board and I don't care to hear nothing about ND.
As for the uneducated part of my post, I present exhibit 1.

Based on what? They have the same offensive coordinator they’ve had for a while now. All of the sudden they’re going to be a passing team?

Anyone can be a cook in another country, that don’t make you hard. I spoke for myself.

I think UM and ND are sort of mirror images of each other on offense in 2025 with UM having one distinct advantage. Both schools will have excellent OLs and good running games, but UM has a much better QB situation (assuming Carson Beck returns to pre-injury form) than ND has.

2024 was Mike Denbrock’s first year. Their offense will look a lot like ours. Very balanced.

Riley Leonard’s best year statistically was his Sophomore year at Duke where he didn’t have nearly the Oline or Runnings backs he had last year at ND.
ND used him more as part of the rushing attack than as a passer.
How will that translate this year to an unproven QB with the same OC?

I think UM’s biggest advantage in this first game will be the ability and experience of being able to come back if we get behind and/or ND’s lack of that same ability/mentality if they fall behind.
Usual caveat that Beck is healthy, the defense is as improved as much as we hope and WR’s stepping up.
If we get a top tier LB and maybe a WR1 in the portal and I like our chances.

LMAO...but you couldn't even be a cook! And it doesn't really matter what job someone had, they were still being attacked by mortars, RPGs, 107s and 122s on a near daily basis like everyone else. BTW, I was in charge of the airfield, air traffic control, weather, intel, and transient aircraft., but nice try.
