My Final Thoughts

Thanks Pete.

This excuse does not cut it (he wasn't coming here all along, blah blah.)

We don't show up and cheer for effort. This is ****ing MIAMI. We expect to win multiple national titles.

Gee Al Golden, you really tried your hardest. Aww shucks. No, sorry, it doesn't work that way. We pay for RESULTS.

I don't care how hard the staff ****ing worked. They didn't get it done today. In fact, they outright failed to close the best linebacker recruit we will ever see in South Florida, and that's just the facts. Whatever they did, they did it wrong.

I leave today unimpressed and discouraged. I think the staff failed to live up to the hype, and they are NOT doing what they need to do to get us to a position to play for national championships.

You can't win without the studs. PERIOD.

Wait... You really think Matthew Thomas is "the best linebacker recruit we will ever see in South Florida"?

Talk about not seeing the forrest for the trees. Did you miss the entire point of my post? Matthew Thomas was a CANT MISS STUD, right in our back yard. It's not acceptable to miss out on kids like that.

If Al Golden can win without him, hey, that's great. I won't judge him until after this season.

If he can't win this season, then I will rightly say he A.) Can't recruit South Florida and B.) Isnt' a winner.

He deserves no more honeymoon.

No, I see the point of your post just fine. I was just curious as to that particular statement.

You didn't just say Thomas was a can't miss stud, you said "the best linebacker recruit we will ever see in South Florida". That is an awfully bold proclamation right there.

So in your mind, the fact that Golden and Co. missed on Thomas means he can't recruit South Florida, despite landing such South Florida players like Tracy Howard, Deon Bush, Duke, Coley, etc... ? I'm honestly curious about your thoughts, not trying to be a smartass.

Well, whether you're trying to be a smartass or not, it's irrelevant to me.

Golden failed massively in South Florida this year. He missed on Collins, Bryant, Bain, Bostwick, Thomas, Kirkland, and several others (Greg Bryant, Rashard Robinson, McKenzie Alexander, etc)

We only ended up with like 3 recruits from south florida. SOUTH FLORIDA, the hottest recruiting bed in the country.

Rivals, ESPN, etc have us correctly ranked in the 20's. Which is exactly where this class deserves to be. Which is exactly where this team deserves to be in a couple years with our recruiting efforts.

If you don't understand what a massive fail that is, I have a bridge in new jersey I'd like to sell you.

But hey, go on and celebrate a class with guys like august edwards and and underweight jermaine grace.

ya-friggin-hoo.

Wow.... half those guy we didn't even recruit... Try reading alittle before you start throwing names out there to make a non existent point... Regardless your not always going to hit. You can't force a kid to go somewhere. He mentioned it today, of all the kids he has brought in since he became coach here over 65 % have been from south florida.... So he can't recruit south florida? Duke? Deon? Tracy? Grace? Coley?Burns? Jamal Carter? Malcolm Lewis? Jelani Hamilton?Chikillo? Dorsett? Perryman? Should I continue?....

Do you work for Al Golden with your 117 posts?

You're telling me we wouldn't have taken McKenzie Alexander's commitment? You're telling me we'd rather be sitting here with Augustus Edwards than Greg Bryant?

Uhh, ******* no.

How the **** did Golden miss on Greg Bryant and Alexander? they never had offers. Jesus Suger, you're spewing vomit all over this board tonight.

You're telling me that you wouldn't want Alexander or Greg Bryant in this class, given what you know today about Robinson and Collins not coming?

Those apparently don't count for some reason.

lets look at 8 of our OOS recruits:

Olsen- Priorty QB, need - who else should we have taken?
Bond- Juco pass rusher, need - who else should we have taken?
Sandland- Juco TE, need - who else should we have taken?
Dobard- Stud TE, need - who else should we have taken?
Muhammad- Elite pass rusher, need - who else should we have taken?
Gall, Knighton, Odogwu- who, other than Kirkland, should we have taken?

It was going to be a small class and those 8 guys amount to half of it.

No to Bryant, to slow. Robinson was never coming just like his brother. Collins coach pushed him to the pigs, stop with your moronic posts.

Not sure why you are so defensive, I was merely asking you questions. You are trying to be argumentative and put words in my mouth. Not once have I said anything regarding my thoughts on this class. You, however, have side stepped answering the questions I posed to you.

You honestly think Thomas is the best linebacker we will ever see in South Florida?

You don't think Golden and Co. can recruit South Florida despite last years haul?

Is it not possible that players from other parts of the country are better than or equal to South Florida recruits on occasion?

He missed on Bain? Greg Bryant? Mackenzie Alexander? Those were players not recruited by Miami. He did miss out the others that you listed because they were recruited heavily by Miami.

Hey, you want to be popular on this site, just keep blowing smoke up everyone's *** and telling them how great things are going to be.

Me, I give exactly zero ***** about what people think of me. I say what I believe. This class was mediocre. People who try to whitewash it are stupid. Stupid people make other people around them stupider.

Quit being a dumbass.

I didn't say he was the best linebacker, I said he was the best linebacker recruit. I stand by that.

I think Al Golden did a terrible job of recruiting south florida this year. That fact stands on its own. Look at the numbers.

South Florida is our backyard. Miami needs to dominate South Florida recruiting. That's a ******* job requirement for the head coach at Miami.

Suger, you lose a lot of credibility in your position when you belittle Jermaine Grace's addition to this team.

I'm glad Grace decided to follow Howard and Lewis to Miami.

A.) Golden doesn't deserve credit for this

B.) Grace is not Matthew Thomas

Ahhh, so Golden gets no credit for Grace committing to Miami. It was all Howard and Lewis. Well if that is the case, I wonder who recruited Howard and Lewis to Miami???

Grace is better in pass coverage/drops than Thomas.

Explain why you think Greg Bryant is better than Edwards. Thanks!
