Although Matthew Thomas to FSU was not a surprise this morning, it was still a painful one to see if you're a Miami fan..... One interesting note that a source told me prior to today was that Miami recruited him harder than anybody in Golden's three classes at Miami, so if Miami ended up losing him (which they did) then he wasn't going to come here all along. The staff put out as much effort as they possibly could into him, but in the end he still chose to head North.

Thanks Pete.
This excuse does not cut it (he wasn't coming here all along, blah blah.)
We don't show up and cheer for effort. This is ******* MIAMI. We expect to win multiple national titles.
Gee Al Golden, you really tried your hardest. Aww shucks. No, sorry, it doesn't work that way. We pay for RESULTS.
I don't care how hard the staff ******* worked. They didn't get it done today. In fact, they outright failed to close the best linebacker recruit we will ever see in South Florida, and that's just the facts. Whatever they did, they did it wrong.
I leave today unimpressed and discouraged. I think the staff failed to live up to the hype, and they are NOT doing what they need to do to get us to a position to play for national championships.
You can't win without the studs. PERIOD.
Lulz @ best LB recruit we'll ever see in South Florida
When did this **** Thomas become a tall tale?

Wait... You really think Matthew Thomas is "the best linebacker recruit we will ever see in South Florida"?

Talk about not seeing the forrest for the trees. Did you miss the entire point of my post? Matthew Thomas was a CANT MISS STUD, right in our back yard. It's not acceptable to miss out on kids like that.
If Al Golden can win without him, hey, that's great. I won't judge him until after this season.
If he can't win this season, then I will rightly say he A.) Can't recruit South Florida and B.) Isnt' a winner.
He deserves no more honeymoon.

No, I see the point of your post just fine. I was just curious as to that particular statement.
You didn't just say Thomas was a can't miss stud, you said "the best linebacker recruit we will ever see in South Florida". That is an awfully bold proclamation right there.
So in your mind, the fact that Golden and Co. missed on Thomas means he can't recruit South Florida, despite landing such South Florida players like Tracy Howard, Deon Bush, Duke, Coley, etc... ? I'm honestly curious about your thoughts, not trying to be a smartass.
