Miami's Portal Class

Big difference is coaching.
Norvell is much better coach than Mario.
Not sure about coordinators either.
Dawson and Guidry both need to improve dramatically to take team to another level.
With 5 posts you have to be a Nole. Norvell is a much better coach than Cristobal? Norvel was 3-6 in year one and 5-7 in year two. If we stay healthy, this is going to be a big year.

Lame to nobody except you 🤣 but my point stands as eventually responsibility falls on players to execute and can't unilaterally always fall on a coach. In the example of the GT fiasco, even with Mario's bone headed decision why couldn't Chaney properly secure the football as he was taught by countless coaches throughout his life ? You act like not only did Mario make a bad choice but fumbled the ball too.
... and he let the WR get behind him on the last play of the game.

Why put a player in that position? That is why he is paid $8 MILLION a year. BTW, Diaz had a better record through 2 years than Mario has with a fraction of the resources at his disposal! But I get it, Mario is part of the Columbis Mafia, a former Cane player, so he can do no wrong in the eyes of some on this board. I want Mario to succeed, I'm just not giving him a free pass on everything like some want to.

Kinda lame to laugh at your own half-*** joke
You sound as if it's your $8 million dollars.

Cmon man Mario lost to MTSU. It’s not like Norvell got beat by Jacksonville St letting them score 13 points in the 4th quarter when they were ahead…at home…

Not like they allowed a horrific last second touchdown that should be inexcusable

That would be embarrassing

Careful now! You'll upset the fspoo trolls we call fans...

I know Dmoney said we’re likely done with the portal, but these gentleman seem to be hinting at another addition?

I know a lot of people **** on him on here but he’s proven he’s plugged in. Has to be a grad transfer at this point right?
Yeah I think the “**** on him” people are actually only like one or two it just becomes glaring because it’s so ******* stupid and everyone quotes them and piles on so it seems like it’s bigger than it is

Just trolls imo. And one or two absolute troglodytes that compare him to Braxton Berrios

You can’t honestly say that FSU was just as good offensively without Jordan Travis until the Georgia game. They played three FBS teams without him. They averaged 14.3 points and 217 yards per game. They got 209 against UGA so it wasn’t a case of one game altering the numbers. Those numbers would make them dead last in FBS. When you lose your starting quarterback you’re going to have to deal with a significant drop off.

I guess you can just hope your defense totally shuts everyone out but that’s unrealistic. Usually a good defense can totally carry a bad offense for a few games but it eventually wears on them.
I get all that.... but we were a "QB away" and the QB we had was of our own doing... I read why we didn't replace TVD, but that is also of our own doing...

Like it has been said -- it rests with 1 person...

He said it's a high school kid

That 2025 DB class could be sick. It won’t help us this season though. We really should have taken another reliable starter DB out of the ports. And unlike DT there were a number of quality guys available.

Diaz was part of the team since 2016 and his side of the ball was a complete disaster at the end of his tenure

TrumpyCane didn't realize Danny Miaz needed massive amounts of resources to land one decent LB in 6 years which he couldn't

Didn't realize he needed massive amounts of resources to not have the 78th ranked recruiting class by the time he was fired, please don't use "he was on the hot seat" because he wasn't on the hot seat in august.

BTW Dan Enos was one of the highest paid assistants in the ACC along with Lashlee
Diaz through 2 years at UM was 14-10. Cristobal through 2 years at UM is 12-13. IbzRlz didn't realize Mario needed $8 MILLION/year and MASSIVE amounts of resources to be under .500 at UM

Who is responsible for a roster with 1 playable QB, after said playable QB was bad in 2022?
The Gators.

Everyone acts like Emory was the plan and he wasn't. He was a developmental QB intended to be #2 behind Rashada. Then the Gators went and screwed the kid and we lost him late in the cycle.

Should we have tried to bring in another after that? Sure if this were like shopping at the mall. But bring names about who was actually still available at that time in the cycle.

Should be have brought in a portal? Actually yes, but no QB worth a **** is transferring to a school with an entrenched starter.

Yes the QB room was terrible last year but a little context is warranted.

Would have to be a flip? Is there anybody worth it left?
I guess it would technically be a flip but as far as I know, “committed” guys who aren’t enrolled are still fair game. D Money and the 247 guys have both hinted that there may be a guy we are still targeting who has technically committed to another school but apparently is still taking calls.
