For the final time bud nobody is saying it was a good decision, but you also can't fumble in that kind of moment. A rb has to have the presence of mind to prioritize ball security in that moment. If you think Diaz is a better coach that's your prerogative to believe. I'm going to let this season play out and reassess from there rather than keep crying over spilled milk.

I made that exact point in my post. Maybe they could have chased an experienced guy to compete with Tyler but considering the timeline of Dawson’s hiring it would have been a tough ask to convince a starting caliber quarterback to transfer here in the late portal window. They did a good job of bringing in an experienced guy this year just in case. The fact of the matter is though, very few schools have capable backup quarterbacks these days. If a guy has experience and isn’t starting, he transfers. Look what happened to FSU when Travis got hurt. In 2024, if your starter gets hurt, you’re going to have to deal with a significant drop off. Very few teams hoard quarterbacks

FSU went undefeated until Georgia… we can’t kneel or beat mid ACC teams… getting held hostage by a bad QB shouldn’t happen in the portal era..

Norvell is much better coach than Mario.
Not sure about coordinators either.
Dawson and Guidry both need to improve dramatically to take team to another level.

Dawson took over quite possibly the worst offense in UM history and improved everything dramatically. Not sure there was 5 OCs in America last year who did a better job based on what they inherited.

IMO, the jury is out on Dawson's ceiling. After GT, he had to hold himself back the entire season, dumbing down the playbook. I was definitely impressed by how Dawson reeled in TVD when he fell apart mentally, and the way he managed EW's two starts was **** impressive, too. But we still don't know if he can lead us to the playoffs.

Its year 3 so there has been enough time to establish a culture. Both coordinators are returning along with most of the position guys and the roster is 95% Mario's. This is now his team built his way and we get to judge him accordingly.

Its silly to argue over "whose fault" the previous failures have been. Good, great, bad or ugly...Like CMC or hate him... judgement day is here and It will all happen right in front of us.

I am looking forward to a huge season and nice payoff for the groundwork thats been put in place. But either way, this year is 100% owned by the head ball coach. May as well just let it play out.

Didn't realize he needed massive amounts of resources to not have the 78th ranked recruiting class by the time he was fired, please don't use "he was on the hot seat" because he wasn't on the hot seat in august.

BTW Dan Enos was one of the highest paid assistants in the ACC along with Lashlee

Pretty much summed it up. I don’t care who screwed up the first two seasons. This year is the make or break. No more excuses.

You can’t honestly say that FSU was just as good offensively without Jordan Travis until the Georgia game. They played three FBS teams without him. They averaged 14.3 points and 217 yards per game. They got 209 against UGA so it wasn’t a case of one game altering the numbers. Those numbers would make them dead last in FBS. When you lose your starting quarterback you’re going to have to deal with a significant drop off.

I guess you can just hope your defense totally shuts everyone out but that’s unrealistic. Usually a good defense can totally carry a bad offense for a few games but it eventually wears on them.
