Miami Pro Day, April 3rd

LMAO at Pat O'Donnell popping up as many reps on the bench as Seantrel Henderson. Impressed with O'Donnell, and it's pretty emblematic of Seantrel's issues.

Lmao!! so Tyrone Cornelius ran a 4.73 and jumped 32.5 inches, Jimmy Gaines ran a 4.77 and jumped 33 inches. okayyyy

And mf'kin AJ Highsmith, all 5-10.6 inches of him (yes, same a Mo Hagens), ran a 4.79 and only jumped 31.5 inches.

Pathetic.

Our defense will be better next year. There's no way it isn't.

I can see someone taking Morris with a late 3rd rounder, his arm strength is great, he's got the gigantic hands that teams love on their QB's, he's probably the fastest QB in the draft.

He was the best QB at the Manning Academy last year, I just can't see teams not understanding how much time he spent playing hurt. If Landry Jones and Tyler Wilson were 4th rounders last year, I can't fathom Morris going any later than that.

Robinson not a 4*? https://rivals.yahoo.com/miami/foot...inson-82014;_ylt=AlKMU89rsPLqBZVZY6WNE0dDspB4

Linder was highly recruited but not by everyone?....What..? What did I say? you don't even make sense

Porter had offers from the big 3, Clemson, Tennesee, Michigan
Cornelius was iirc committed to FSU at one point and had offers by other major programs
Rodgers had offers from UF, UGA, Nebraska Notre Dame Ohio State, Tennesse

Some of you guys make my friggin head hurt and on top of it you have the stones to say people are fabricating things when I'm providing LINKS to pages that clearly state that YOU are the one fabricating things

Robinson (39), Porter (60), Wheeler (21), Gilbert (92), Cornelius (61) were all composite 3*, none of which were in the top 20 on their position. They all pretty much performed like your average 3* player.

Henderson, Linder, maybe Clements were the only players that "everyone" wanted.

Those players had offers from A LOT of MAJOR programs. I don't care what their composite ranking was. LOOK AT THEIR OFFERS! You're arguing semantics here, chief. You are not arguing the point.

At the very least, coaches at a school like Temple or Duke for that matter would murder to have players of this caliber. Where are the Jarretts? The Wilkersons? There is toooooo much fail on that list for it to be solely on the players. Like I said (and like you weren't able to understand) coaches at a lot of major programs wanted these very "untalented" guys.

side note* I only mentioned Wheeler because he outplayed our starting C who was a HS all american. Clearly there was something there.

So you make a case for bad development and bring up Wheeler which would be good development.

Look I'm not defending any coaches but its not true that Robinson, Porter, Cornelius, etc were top shelf national recruits.

I was able to understand everything, you said everyone wanted these guys which wasn't true. Now you can change your argument if you want. Not to mention this staff didn't even recruit these guys.

Again, you're arguing semantics. You know what my point was. Stop creating straw men just to play contrarian. The guys I mentioned were guys that received offers from a lot of major programs. They were offered by a lot of the major programs because they sucked????

Clearly, you do not understand hyperbole. You've got to be mentally handicapped if you're focusing your entire argument on that, especially when I went in detail, player-by-player, with evidence to my point that these guys were talented when they got here.

Your last statement is laughable. Implying this staff didn't want these kids? The same staff that offered Armbrister, Darius Smith, brought in Mike Williams, etc. C'mon man. This staff would have killed to have these players at Temple. But hey, you might be right, because with the offers some of these kids had they would have never given Temple a second look.

Who is saying anything about Temple? Those guys you mentioned performed like your average 3* recruit. No one ever expected those guys you mentioned to be stars beside Henderson, Linder, maybe Clements. Plus those offer lists aren't always very accurate.

There is plenty to be disappointed in by this staff, not making your typical 3* recruits into stars and future NFL top round picks isn't one of them.

Hurns will have a solid career in the NFL... Most guys thought Shannon reached on him because he was hurt alot in high school... He turned out just fine and exceeded everybody expectations of him here.. Kid had one of the best seasons ever here at WR...

Yep I will never forget that over the head catch vs Va Tech when we needed some momentum....he came through

And these are the guys that played 80% of the snaps on defense. Smh we were so slow.

Probably why they had Shayon dropping into zone coverage. He was significantly faster than 2 of our staring linebackers and safety last year.

Interesting that as a DE, Shayon had pretty much the same 40 time as Clowney and is stronger.
Obviously, he's nowhere near the talent of Clowney, but then again, Clowney is probably nowhere near the character, drive and work ethic of Shayon.

Originally I thought Shayon and Clements would be Miami graduate assitants next year, but with Shayon's physical attributes and his character, he might be a late round draft pick.
At the bare minimum he's a priority free agent signee.

Cornelius is a 225 lb LB and the best he could do was a 4.73?

Shocked that Green broke a 4.8 let alone sub 4.6

Rodgers looks the part he's just a pee-wee mentality. That boy has no dog in his heart.

Hurns's time is decent. Should get him drafted.

Also, my sleeper in this class in Robinson.

What's lost in all this head shaking is that Morris apparently had a great day.

According to the Herald he completed most of his 67 throws, with the few incompletions being drops.

I wonder if he included some of those beautiful 70-75 yard bombs that no other qb in the draft has ever completed in a game.

From watching the videos, I had forgotten that we traditionally have one of the slowest pro day surfaces.
From watching some of the shuttles and seeing the divots being torn up, I wouldn't be surprised if the surface adds a tenth or more to drills like the 40.

the last two years we have had safeties running in the 4.8 range ...good lord....the one who has athleticism (Kacy Rodgers) has no heart or feel for the game @ the safety spot..(was a solid cb)

Avg to below avg speed @ LB...

Only physical freak guys i see our Seantrel, a punter, and solid to good numbers from robinson

and this was Randy Shannon's last recruiting class before Al Golden was hired. so the worst two drafts were all Shannon recruits-

yet somehow it is Al Golden who sucks as a coach and recruiter?!

Can anyone remember a senior class with less talent? These last couple years drafts have been impressively embarassing

There are legitimate critiques about some our players but some of these comments are plain ****. Clearly all of you making the comments had very decorated college careers, ran 4.4s and are all ex Canes.
