Miami is firing DC Lance Guidry

Everyone laughed on this board and said the same thing about Baker. I'm not saying Guidry didn't need to go, but don't be surprised to see him land on his feet
I still wouldn't touch Baker with a 10 foot pole. No good. I don't care what job title he currently has. Matter of fact Guidry is probably better than him.

My guess is Chevis. He was a Guidry hire, and his unit sucked elk nuts. Never bring me anything from Marshall again. Guidry, Chevis, Alson, and Hill were all subpar
Facts

Never understood the talent transferring over as well. The DB corch hire was *** as well don’t care if he played at bama or lsu or whatever……my only question will always be. Are you good at your job above anything else….thats the only thing that should matter. Are you relentless at getting the best and do you land them and will you coach them to the best of your ability. It’s that simple with anything in life. Where you played at or if your in the nfl hof or not I don’t gaf, none of that means anything.

To me it was a combination of not having the right players and lack of communication amongst the players mainly stemming from the coaches not on the same page.
The communication between the secondary was worse then high school level and thats him and his coach HE brought over's specialty smh

At some point we gotta acknowledge that Miami just isn’t a good place to go for coaches

Don’t want to blame Mario for a problem that was existing long before he got here but the evidence is overwhelming

We witnessed as far back as 1984 when Jimmy Johnson was forced to keep some of Schnellenberger's assistants. This wasn't a problem on offensive side of ball as that was not his side, but the defense was a disaster, not unlike what happened this past season, 40 years later. You need to have a cohesive unit of coaches. It's weird how every year there is always 1-2 coaches that insiders claim are aholes, don't get along with other players or coaches. Strange program.

Yeah it’s like anytime things go badly there’s always this stuff that leaks out. It’s just how the world works

Not saying there’s no truth to it but unless I’m there in the rooms every day seeing it up close I know people like to make excuses and find scapegoats

Why? Lashlee, Banda, Baker all did alright. Gattis still landed at a MD after here, as did Enos. Steele went back to Bama. Nicholson is at Missouri. SEC/BiG schools. ... I don't see Miami as a career killer at all.

So you think Baker going to LSU and becoming one of the highest paid DCs after “flopping” here is an example of someone that Miami helped? Steele going back to Bama after our defense flopped here is supposed to reflect highly on our operations?

How about Manny Diaz being a complete disaster as head coach here and then going and having success at PSU and now Duke?

That’s bold
