I never thought the dline would cover up the bad db playWe recruited bad DBs under Addae and the portal ones are expensive, they went all in on the defensive line hoping it would’ve helped out a below average secondary.
The below-average secondary sucked and the supposedly good DL underperformed all year.
Here it is the recipe for this disaster.
Sure, but one of those safetys had been in the system for a year and the other was a 5th year senior. We had to upperclassmen at safety who directed traffic. Which were huge losses.
That tells you couple things, player work ethics and ownership of their position basically the complete opposite of X .Sure, but one of those safetys had been in the system for a year and the other was a 5th year senior.
It's not supposed it's confirmedMiami supposedly reached out to gatech defensive coordinator.
As a leader, if you’re not bought in, how do you expect those you lead to do it ? Simplest way I can put it. Ultimately, that’s what happened with this guy. How else do you explain what we saw ?He always wore a different hat than everybody else. Not sure why but it bothered me. Looked like he got it at the The Miccosukee Reservation on Alligator Alley.
SMH......this will end up no better than Shannon hiring Nix.Miami supposedly reached out to gatech defensive coordinator.
Not a fan?SMH......this will end up no better than Shannon hiring Nix.
Not really. Think there are better options. GT allowed more Points, passing yards, rushing yards, total yards and less turnovers in the same conference. Not a fan?
It sounds like he may end up at A&M anyways due to his ties to Elko but we'll see.Not really. Think there are better options. GT allowed more Points, passing yards, rushing yards, total yards and less turnovers in the same conference.
I have several:
•Rodney Gardner from UTenn. Not a DC, but has been a DL coach for yrs producing draft pick after draft pick. SEC guy, & an excellent recruiter.
•Corey Heatherman. Now this is a wild card. Dude is a former QB turned DC, & we saw him first hand in last yrs bowl vs. Rutgers. He was the LB coach, got promoted to DC for Minnesota this season, & the Gophers was ranked 6th in Defense. Bro was a DC at James Madison prior to their move from the FCS, & they ranked:
1st in Defense (2019)
5th in Defense (2020)
8th in Defense (2021)
Last yr Rutgers ranked 16th in Def, after he left they’ve plummeted to 81st. Minnesota ranked 54th in Def last season, this year as DC they ranked 6th.
•Anthony Poindexter
Currently Co-DC & Safeties Coach for PSU. A UVA legend. Has the former player pedigree & coaching acumen. Knows both the ACC & B1G landscape. Consistently has one of the top units in all of CFB, & a great recruiter. On the younger the side (48 yrs old).
These would be my top 3, & all would be ripe for the taking
Bump, he immediately got to work after the bowl game loss. Told y’all he doesn’t just sit on a problem, refreshing. Look at all that has been done sinceCristobal doesn’t just sit on a problem.
