Miami is firing DC Lance Guidry

Am I crazy to think Ryan Walters who was fired at Perdue should get a look?
Not really. In this business, sometimes people get fired for reasons OTHER THAN what happens on the field. He may have called out their ****** *** offense after having to run his defense back on the field after another dumbass turnover. Could be anything. It happened to me one time. In high school 😂🤣😂.

I will just say, I’ve been told by a few folks that Jason Taylor is one of the laziest coaches on the staff, and it showed by the DL’s performance. If he is hired as DC we are Fing cooked

My two cents, you really couldn't be serious about Jason Taylor in this situation, because from a total logic perspective, if this was a remote consideration, then why wouldn't you have done the following:

Fire Guidry after the Syracuse game, list him as interim coach, and let him call the bowl game? Wouldn't have cost a penny, same logic as giving Emory 1/2 the game, you kick the tires on what he could game plan and do, etc.

I don't think JT is serious consideration, because if it was remotely a chance, then they would have done above.

“Less cerebral”? These guys play football. They aren’t trying to get into the Chicago School of Economics and destroy the world. FOH.
And yet the difference between good and bad players is the “cerebral” part in all sports.

It is bc his coaching was so bad
That it completely wasted a championship year from our qb
This should have been a year like auburn and cam
With even a competent defense I truly believe we win the title this year
It’s hypothetical, sure, but even this O Has not gone up against the level of D you will see this week.

After a season in which Miami's defense likely cost the Hurricanes a spot in the College Football Playoff, the Hurricanes will be making a change at defensive coordinator.

Lance Guidry is expected to be fired, sources tell CanesInSight. Against FBS opponents, Miami finished 70th in scoring defense (26.7 PPG), 50th in 3rd Down Defense (37.75%) and 82nd in takeaways (1.3),

Mario Cristobal issues the following statement on the decision:

“I want to first thank Coach Guidry for his contributions to the University of Miami.

“In a continuous effort to always improve all aspects of our program, I have decided to make a change on defense. We will move forward and make decisions that provide our players, staff and program the best opportunity to win and develop at the highest level.”

The defense was one of the worst in the ACC during conference play, struggling with communication and pre-snap movement, among other areas.

Miami will now look for its third defensive coordinator of the Cristobal Era, following Guidry and Kevin Steele.

I dont think we should read into experience as a factor too much, I'd prefer a young DC that can recruit differently then Mario and can have solid relationships with the players similar to DVD. aka a regular person unlike robot cia Mario

F it ---- bring in colin McCarthy

I used to like stunts. It's amazing how you can be soured on something after being force fed day after day.

Too often and poorly executed. Similar to Manny's delayed blitzes.
Once it was proven to not work and we couldn't set the edges while doing so I wonder if there was a football reason for continuing to do it.

Beyond Guidry either being completely arrogant or having a stunt addiction what was the actual football reason to do it our literal death. @Coach Macho I'd love the enlightenment if you had the opportunity.
