I will just say, I’ve been told by a few folks that Jason Taylor is one of the laziest coaches on the staff, and it showed by the DL’s performance. If he is hired as DC we are Fing cooked
This is my fear. I love JT but if this is true then that hire would be a major disappointment. But yeah we'll be logging into CIS everyday now until the replacement is announced....

he spent the year calling out guidrys schemes and alignments and guidry had to be stubborn to prove he's right.
I didn’t say he wasn’t a smart mind just said he maybe isn’t going as hard as other college coaches do

Mario is persona non grata around here of late, but let's not label him a buffoon either. He doesn't mess around. He's not going to take a risk with this hire.

I wouldnt mind the next coach bringing rumph back on the field. he was probably our best defensive position coach here since early 2000's.

He always put out solid players and solid DB play. It was always about his recruiting which now isn’t as big of a deal since we have NIL

There is an almost 0% chance a former head coach is coming here to work under a mindless dictator that goes through coordinators like m&m’s, especially one from a cfp team. Mario is going to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel soon because no one is going to want to deal with his BS

gun to my head, I think he's the hire. He's a defensive first HC. I know he didnt call plays but that guy is like Mullen with QB's, squeezes the most out of his players.
As a Chicagoan, I'd be so interested by this hire. You're right, Fitz was highly regarded around here for the results he was able to get with Northwestern's talent pool. Would be very interested in seeing how it'd shake out with more talented but less cerebral players.

Good.

He deserved to get fired.

His unit cost us a dream season. He just had to be average. Low expectation. Low goal ceiling. Large investment of NIL to make up for deficiencies. A layup for 50% of the DCs in the Power 4.

Guidry failed. The defensive product was embarrassing considering the investment.
The defense would honestly be an embarrassment at thw high school level....the players couldn't lineup or handle motion in the ******* bowl game....never seen anything like it
