Mel Kiper Opines About Kaaya, Njoku, Elder, etc.

I don't care how deep TE is in this Draft. Njoku would absolutely get taken and therefore these "Draftniks" are showing some laziness but not having a projection. That said, I'm personally fine with it as the less fawning over these kids the higher the chance they get spooked and come back. But that's a selfish fan's perspective.

If Kiper says Brad Kaayas a 3rd round pick that means he's going to get drafted in the 5th.

I don't really watch the NFL or draft or anything like that so this is an honest question .... I feel that Corn is one of the best cornerbacks in college football .... Kiper has him Lookin like a 4 - 7 round type player ... Why is that and do yall think he really will go that late ?

Exactly. It allows him to show video clips and deliver pre-packaged lines about a kid for 2+ rounds then as he features them on his "Best Available" list.

If Corn drops that far, somebody is getting a steal. Kid is the real deal.

Njoku will be a really good TE one day. But if I'm an NFL GM, I'm not comfortable putting a high draft pick on a guy thar drops the ball so much. Walford was better and he's not exactly making waves.

Agreed but Kiper should be able to project the kid as a 4th or 5th rounder- somewhere where I'd be willing to bet he ends up at worst.

A lot of people have messed up if he goes that late. I assume he's projected that late due to size. The NFL (and everybody else) is very focused on size these days so they're hesitant to take a guy who's listed at 5' 10" (I always assume they're an inch shorter than listed). Personally, I think size is great but ball skills are much more important. It's hard for even NFL QBs to put a ball where the 6' 3" receiver can get it but not the 5' 10" DB, so I think tall DBs are overrated.

I figured it had to be a size issue but **** if a guy can ball and be that elite I don't see why that would be such a huge deal .. I mean God **** 4 - 7 round is a ****** joke for a guy like Corn ..... Thank you for your reply brotha

Don't really listen to kipper anymore. He's gotten lazy with evaluations over the past 4-5 years.

Jimmy Graham got drafted in the 3rd round with much less development and a case of the dropsies. Warlord never had the upside of Nojokeu. No way he gets past the 2nd round.

Kaaya Should stay, Njoku should declare. He could risk injury next season.

You gotta compare Corn Elder to other CB's coming out. Is he better than Quincy Wilson? **** Tabor? Or Desmond King?

or tackles himself in the open field lol

There are 3/4 TE's that will be drafted before Njoku...Think he and Kaaya are likely third/fourth rounders...Can see Elder going in high third or early fourth round..

In my opinion D N is not nearly ready. He doesn't seem to have the polish nor an understanding of the intricacies required of an NFL TE.
