Miami has MUCH bigger needs than TE in the 2nd Round.

Actually we don't. We just need CB's and a competent TE...Njoku would be perfect

And a real QB.

Lol hey if Tannehill smokes the cardinals today; are going to create a thread about like army cane last week or stay quiet about like the 5 weeks before

I don't care because I'm not a Dolphins fan. Just know the dude sucks. How'd he do last week against the Ravens?

Oh Nooooo we don't need a TE. Sims is going to be good. We need a whole new secondary and more OL help because the starters can't stay healthy. No way in **** Dolphins use a 2nd round pick on TE.
Agree totally. Need multiple LB'S and corners and OL before TE. Also need another RB and Back up QB but not before a legit TE. I think Njoku is 1 more yr of college FB away from being ready or several NFL yrs away. Very high ceiling but I'd be ****ed if my team drafted him in first 3 rounds.

I'd prefer the Bucs draft Njoku late first.
We better not use a first on a TE when we need another WR, olineman, and a saftey.

I'm hoping the Bucs win a few more games and end up picking somewhere around 20th. Then trade down in the first, pick up a late 2nd, or 3rd, and fill needs that way. I agree the Bucs need OL bad. A safety would be another need.

I look at Njoku as a big WR anyway. Like Antonio Gates, Jimmy Graham, etc.

Look at Eric Ebron and who coaches him, this is a set up for a reunion... Njoku to the lions. He's the weapon they need to replace Johnson.

DE, LB, and OG (assuming Bushrod retires) are the primary need for the Fins, though a good seam threat TE is right behind those positions. Six weeks ago I would have agreed we needed CBs, but Maxwell has come around, and Lippett has played very well too. Along with Howard you have three guys that can play outside. I'm not sold on McCain in the slot though. All in all though the position no longer looks like it's wildly undermanned. How well would Corn fit on the team though? He'd be sick in the slot and with his contract Maxwell probably is gone after 2017, and Corn could move outside then if needed. Fins are WAY too old at DE to ignore the position. And undermanned still at LB.

No, our CB and TE are horrible...we're fine at DE with Wake, Branch, and Jones....we'll probably sign an up and comer that's let go.

Corn is a good fit because of his experience playing in a similar scheme. I don't think he's a dolphin because they seem to like longer corners and seem to be following the bengals philosophy on D.

We are undermanned at LB but I expect to sign one and draft the others late

We'll probably draft a guard and center as well, don't want to see Pouncey...his contract ain't worth him playing 8 games a year

This dude has not even scratched his potential. If he goes to the Patriots RIP AFC east. I hope not as a dolphins fan. This dude is big and fast, who can cover him? No one that is. He will learn to consistently catch the ball and it will be over. I hope he returns though I doubt it.

But he's from New Jersey. A 3 star player in NJ is equal to a 2 star player in Florida. Golden should only focus on South Florida and stop going after these coal shovelers.
Well he was more of a track and field athlete and barely started playing football. If he did, there is no way he would have been under the radar. But Golden has won some hard fought recruiting battles against UMASS for some coal shovelers

Pouncey is done with the Fins. That hip situation is degenerative. So yeah, at his price tag, I can't see us keeping him. But we are in better shape at CB than you seem to think. Maxwell will be back as a starter the way his contract is structured, and with the way he has played since they started winning. Howard will be healthy, and is starting caliber talent. And Lippett has come alive. PFF has him as one of the top 30 CB's in the league, and he's still just scratching the surface of his talent. I agree with what you are saying regarding them wanting long physical CBs on the outside, but they need a slot CB. McCain is the one guy in their secondary who keeps getting burned week in and week out. That where I'd like them to pick up and slot Elder. But I do think Elder will go higher than the Fins want for a slot CB. And in other schemes Elder will play outside fro the get go. As for DE, I love Wake, and Branch has played well, but Wake is at the age where his play will soon start dropping off, and neither Branch or Jones are under contract for 2017. There is no way they are keeping Williams with his contract, and mediocre play. We definitely need young talent at the position in a pretty bad way. We look good there now, but there are serious questions at DE for 2017 and beyond.

I do agree a number of these positions will be addressed in free agency. We have decent cap space now, and will open a lot more parting ways with Williams, probably Pouncey, and maybe one or two other guys. I always prefer to address the "cheaper" positions in free agency, so yeah, guard and LB are probably addressed there. Njoku would be a really nice add at TE if he drops to our 2nd round pick. It's salivating to imagine an offense with Parker, Stills (who also needs to be re-signed), and Landry at WR with a seam threat like Njoku at TE. It would be potent for sure.

Njoku ain't lasting to Round 2. If the NFL GMs are smart, he is getting an invite to the draft party.

I wouldnt mind Giants drafting Njoku. We need a skilled TE who can catch. Elder would be a great nickel corner for fins. McCain sucks.

gotta give credit to Al Golden for bringing some quality TEs.

i can see why that man is now coaching the TE position in the NFL.
