I was going to say the same thing. Kevin Steele came from the old establish roots in strong conferences and programs and historically always had a good defense. He just runs a defense that has equal to, or greater talent then who he's playing and he'd do fine. He was good from his Clemson stop in 2009 all the way to Alabama after us.
Just got hired at a time we didn't have any horses and had a offense where the defense have to keep us ion the game. The fundamental and schemes were solid, but didn't run gimmickery type defense like Manny Diaz, which only works for so long.
His defense you have to play good balanced football with good players, assuming you have equal or greater talent. Then you'd have to rely on the ability of the OC. A la UGA, Alabama, OSU, etc.
