Meesh and Ground Jordan get the game ball today.

Said before Powell is a very smart player. If he is constantly out of position and busting the coverage, I thought it was more likely the problem is he didn’t understand what Guidry was trying to do. And if he wasn’t grasping it, others likely weren’t either. Would be interesting to find out if Guidry simplified things during the bye week.

Idk what adjustments were made but whatever they were, let’s hope they start that way next week.

Pitt pressured McCord a lot and he threw a bunch of pics. Let Mesidore and Bain loose- fill the line with Barrow and Cook or Moreno and Barrow.

Kudos to Guidry for fighting for his job and making decisions indicative of a Defensive Coordinator with a modicum of sense.

Yet, you spoke on talent being an issue and made a plethora of excuses, unable to hold coach accountable. All of those excuses are null and void when you can hold a team to 7.

Deflection is unbecoming of a grown *** man, or whatever it is you identify as.

The point is, you should still your fingers because you can't beat your chest when all the excuses YOU gave were destroyed today.

The people you're trying to serve crow have been proven right. That there's enough pieces on this defense to have a game like today.

So please stop acting like you have some high ground to look down from. You look like a plum fool with all those excuses

People who need GIFs are so easy to beat.

There are talent issues on defense. That’s undeniable. And the cavemen in this thread weren’t “proven right” when they predicted 30+ WF points while the Wake offense didn’t score for 3.5 quarters.

They played him much more at nickel today.. he seems much more comfortable there.. like I mentioned since off-season why we neglected the safety spot when both left early makes no sense

Really? One good performance and everybody was wrong?

Look, I hope we turned a corner here, but that’s far from certain. As of now, there’s been a lot of poor play and a very little good play. At best let’s wait and see, at worst this isn’t enough.

You understand how stsrting points work right? Regardless the LOS was still left in really good shape when Lanning got there. Dude inherited a top 3 OL group in America. Thinks that makes his job easier?

Also Lanning hasnt won a conference title yet, and he wont win one this year either.
