And before vern even attempts to troll me, check the threads, I been saying Smith to Bama for months...

You both make valid points, if I understand correctly. Brooklyn is saying that we should reserve judgement until signing day, and we don't know what is going on behind the scenes. And Liberty is saying that at the moment, from what we can see, things don't appear to be going well at WR. And that the average fan can only go off of what appears to be happening.

It's a simple disagreement, it can only be resolved by waiting till signing day. So let's wait and see. On my part, I am going to be confident until the staff gives me a reason not to be, but I completely understand where you are coming from Liberty, both of you, are in a way, correct.

Yea Liberty City is very positive..dont understand where Brooklyn Dee is coming from on Smith...... We've seen this story time and time again..its not about being negative its about being realistic... Missing out on SMith and Holloman wont do us in...weve never gotten those type dudes from SEC countryHowever missing out on dudes like Alex Collins, Navaughn Donaldoson,Amari Cooper, Jerry Juedy types will...

As a matter of fact I say the only top notch recruit we have ever stolen out of SEC country was Akeem Joilla from LSU in 2002 i believe ...and he just hopped n the bandwagon after our national title...Even Reggie Wayne wasnt a top notch recruit out of Louisiana netier was Ed Reed... I mean we might get one every 5-10 years but every year it seems we think were gonna pull a top player out of SEC land and it never happens..Just cause RIcht is here doesnt mean its gonna change..I m ean a broken clock is right two times a day so it might happen one day but cmon mane

When it comes to WR's & CB's, I don't trust this staff's confidence about any prospect...

Look, I hope we get Smith, so I'm not saying it in a negative way... But from everything I've read, Bama has had the lead with Smith for a long time.

Just recently Smith & Moses both visited LSU together, from an LSU writer the thing that he pointed out in his article was that Smith & Moses were both being recruited by Eddy O as Bama recruits... That let me know all I needed to know.

It would be great to land the kid, but it's just unrealistic thus far... He's only visited once for the UNC game & idk if Duggans has had his in-home with him yet, but compared to how often he visits Bama, doesn't look good for us.

You are aware he lives pretty close to bama right opposed to pretty **** far from us. My most obvious critique to what you said though relates to your lack of confidence for wr & CB for this staff... why exactly is that considering this staff hasn't been able to prove anything one way or another. Good or bad until signing day gets here... you're gonna sit back & critique the staff because you haven't heard enough publicly about our efforts? Pete's already told yall some of the people were on were staying quiet about until it's time. Do you honestly think we'll I'm hearing next to nothing concerning either of those positions so clearly they're just sitting back collecting a check doing nothing? AGAIN KIDS LOVE DUGANS,FAMILIES LOVE DUGANS. Mike gets alot of respect on the trail & is well liked. Doesn't make sense how fans of ours just sit back & hope we fail... try positive energy. It's amazing how that works. El this isn't just to you but in general. Also you gotta remember first off recruiting is a very fluid situation. You're dealing with sought after kids & their emotions & egos with grown ups with endless money pulling them in different directions. College football is a huge business for these universities,etc. Never forget things can change from one second to the next.

Nothing that the staff could do to change that. The mother took his situation & people's greed & covered her families best interest. Really doubt even if we wanted to if the brother could get in here. The reason all of this changed up lately is the brother just got his scores through Lil more than a month ago. Up till that point it was all just talk.can't blame them. We're fine with or without him though. We're all in meltdown while I can tell you in general other than the elite prospects we may or may not pull this class is looked at as a stopgap at both positions till next year. Those kids will be long term impact players. That's why I doubt we get CJ back. He has no prayer to play 3 or 4 years as a starter at CB for us.

The vets here know the ending to this movie.Come NSD and Smith signs with LSU or Bama we're going to get the we were in great shape for months but in the end the pull to play for the home team or play for the National champs was too much to overcome and followed wiith we should be happy with this class considering the season we had,2018 is the class to get us back.
