We need big steps from Bell, McCoy and yes Cooper. I think an upgrade at center will help the guards. Carpenter was mid. Cooper has to get better. We have one beast a bunch of guys that fluctuate between average and good with an occasional beast flash. We have to have it next year losing Cam

Also will be interested to see if Mauigoa switches to the left side. It’s a money year for him and I thought he improved a lot on speed rushes last year. Another offseason for work and maybe he’s the LT and Bell slides to RT?

Doubtful. If he cared about a money year, he'd shift down to guard.

All I meant was thinking he would get a shot (since we cross train) to win the job. I think the NFL would already view him as someone that could play guard but I’m not an OL expert

Man you guys are hard on Carpenter and I thought he was very solid for us. Was he KC Jones? No..but he **** sure wasnt the weak link..I would give that to Cooper...I heard he might have been playing hurt most of the year but he definitely has room for improvement next year. I thought we would be talking about him leaving early for the draft this time last year.
