We had a bad recruiting class and are mediocre in the portal. I wouldn't say he only knows how to recruit.

I caught up with an old friend last night who is a D2 position coach. Even at that level the transfer portal has caused serious issues.. they used to offer 3-4 kids out of HS for WR, they have now gone down to 1 HS offer for WR and are saving those 3 other spots for kids who don't find homes who have left D1 programs or they really like from other D2 schools. It's creating such a bottleneck for HS players trying to get into college football.

Crazy it's gotten this out of hand so quickly.

He picked a good OC and the offense is decent.

He's failing to get over the hump though, there's not enough sunshine that can be pumped to hide the fact that we missed the ACCCG and CFP. Richt got us to the ACCG with a QB half as talented as Ward and with our key starters injured.

CFB Football players aren't being paid anything but a scholarship boarding (under the table bag payments) and an "Edumecation".. oh nooo boo hoooo every single one of them deserves MONEY... then lets start paying them with zero guidelines or rules just a wide open market.. PSHHHH Too bad i don't have a son born in this magical soft as charmin generation i would have worked him out at age 3 training to be signed by a college team to manipulate the **** out of them making 2 mil then transferring 3 different times chasing bags and sealing them walking away laughing not only at the ncaa but the nfl cuz fckem why would he go make pennies on the dollar or be a an unsigned free agent i already banked swindling the college teams for 3-4 years with zero ramifications. ITS TOO EASYYYY the agents are telling these kids and their family's.

I get it a bunch of old white dudes with their corporations and old money profited for decades and decades on the backs of young American men playing football so is this the long awaited due payback?? LMAO there comes a point where the profit going to a few old farts must be stopped and we are there but the corrupt liberal NCAA sitting on their hands for profit share is toast. Someone has to put a cap and it starts with roster size.

Just a giant fckin **** show. I'm stoked Cam chose us over the NFL (i know he transferred several times lol) the state of college football is diabolical and i am typically always on the positive side of things but this is a giant mess and ugly to follow or contribute to. Multimillionaires paying kids 7 figures coming out of high school is asinine and to be able to transfer as many times as you want makes the sport jaded and faded while i did enjoy the success Cam provided us from transferring its not sustainable in the big picture.

It’s not easy to get transfers admitted to Notre Dame unless they are grad transfers. They will typically not be a portal heavy program unless the admin adjusts its approach to transfers, and I believe significant change is unlikely, at least in the near term.
