Sorry for thinking you meant what you said.

What I said was there are a lot of similarities. That’s how comparisons work. You know, like when you try to compare current college players to a potential ceiling or pro. Doesn’t equate to them equaling that or being better.

I think it's time we all realize that next years offense is going to look much different. More running the ball. I loved watching the O this year, but chances of getting another Ward are very very slim, and guess what, it's going to be ok. We just need to shore up the D and we will be on the path to another 10 win season!!

Depends. Will he bounce off guys in the hole or get completely washed out of a run fit? If the answer is “no,” I’d consider it and he can cry on the bench between drives
I don’t like playing this “what if” game but couldn’t help but think of that game sealing play Flagg made against Clemson last year and feeling 10/10 confidence that’s an easy TD for them against our defense this year

I mean if you get him for 30-40% of what Cam costed, and you spend that on the big DT’s, maybe keeping Mesidor, bringing in real talent at CB/S instead of scraps like we did last year… I would still expect 10 wins with Mendoza and a strong running game.
I mean the kid did throw for 3000 yards this season which isn’t terrible. Cam threw for 4000 so if this kid can make a jump and continue to protect the ball I wouldn’t be mad at this take.

they have NO NIL and are a poorly ran program. (organizationally)

Its crazy how solid to good they have been thats proof to the talent in that VA area.

I ready some stuff on how they were ran when Pry came in and its basically was like a FCS program. Barely had merch for players, etc

They haven’t been able to get any of the top guys from VA for almost 15 years now. 90% of them go out of state.

VT’s a broke athletic department. They don’t have the money to fire Pry even if they wanted to.

This. Kid wanted to be here before and is from Miami. He's smart, underrated athletically, and performed well with a mediocre supporting cast at Cal. He'll have a much better support cast at Miami. Let him and Emory compete and may the best guy win.

I know I won’t push back there. Why I pretended, FWIW. They rank based on NFL potential. Moore was 1 year removed from being a 5 star qb. So that plays a part in that.

This through though btw

Thats a heck of a nice throw on a all out blitz with a guy bearing down on him. Thanks

Oh for sure I’m with you but yeah the portal rankings are very strange. Like Cormani being the #3 CB I think? They’re not gonna just go and **** on their own rankings from the year before so there’s a mix of previous bias and potential that is pure speculation

Brock Vandagriff was #5 behind Cam at 4…like aye man what are we actually doing? 😂

Portal rankings are legit trash. That being said saving money to spend big at other positions sounds a lot like last offseason. Any ideas how that worked out?

Yuhp, rankings are tricky. If they are rating a proven starter with production that high, I think theirs some smoke to it. The projections get very dicey

I’m all for efficient spending but certain positions have just been awful evals in the portal and recruiting and I don’t have any answers

If we are gonna go bargain shopping you better have a good eye but we don’t seem to
