Yep, it wasn’t messy and both parties mutually agreed on it.

Now Gattis can’t find a replacement gig, and Mario has to make a decision. It’s a very easy one.

yeah mostly from their fans and beat reporters, but there were legs to it. It wasn’t just McNamera, they got the Michigan TE as well. It died quick and almost instantaneously; now I’m not sure if that was on purpose, or because it wasn’t happening. They will make a decision after their bowl game, which doesn’t help us IF they’re still considering Gattis.

If you think we hate Gattis, oh buddy…that guy’s head has been on a stick for a bit. Ferentz went nuts on a reporter midseason about it.

By all accounts, there will be some change. But it might be internal too.

THIS ONE MILLION TIMES. and if we saw (at least I saw) from the outside a glimpse of the controversy/antagonism that he creates, you can imagine what they saw inside the program on a daily basis. I know Zo speaks to a lot of fans and people outside the program regularly, so he's hearing it from us
 
lol if he can say parents pick up your kid but wont fire an incompetent dope who failed at his job bc of optics, hes a failure. I dont want to hear a single bull**** line in a presser about parents, kids, toughness if he can't fire this moron. false bravado is all it is. when hes had to make a tough decision, where is he? Oregon filled their open OC job quickly. UNC is already targeting their new OC. NC State just took a good OC candidate. we're just sitting here trying to play nice. fire this dude. dont send him to recruits homes when hes not their coach. this is as much of a **** show as our Manny staffs

Mind you, we were calling for Enos’s head very early on, and for him to be left in Little Havana after FIU.

God I remember him looking up into the crowd at halftime and people were ready to jump on the field and strangle him.

he was actually fired before the bowl. It was reported by the AP I think right before kick that he was gone and leaked a little bit earlier than that. in that sense, we had a bowl game still and we didnt have th same budget that Mario does. idk if hes coming back bt it sure looks like no one is leaving based on what the objective observer can view this team and how theyre behaving. you can't even argue otherwise. gattis is on the trail sitting w recruits and going to dinner w em. Mario is sending him there. ponce is still here. addae is still recruiting even tho we've heard DVD will take his job.

Yes, 17 days. One excuse i heard when making the comparison is that Enos was kept until Dec 27 due to the bowl game. Well, Mario is on the clock. NO EXCUSE for Gattis to still be here after Christmas for me.

Manny fired Enos December 27 and STILL found a very good OC and got some game changing players out the portal.

Starting to think the same lol, seems like he wants gattis to find another job but if he doesn’t he’ll be back but probably with better surrounding pieces to help him like they did in his last year at Michigan

I’m with you. Miami is not some charity case. You don’t get to let an OC who sent Miami’s offense back to B.C. dictate your next moves. You want to let him interview for jobs? Great, saves you a buyout. Good looks.

But guess what? It’s been (in all honestly) well over a month since he’s known he’s gotta look for a job. Again all speculation for this part, but If you have no traction after this length of time…you’re either shooting way too high (which makes sense because the dude’s ego is inflated beyond belief) or no one wants you. Mario should not have to take him back simply because it’s the easy way out. It would look absolutely horrible if he’s retained, and I’d reckon TVD would leave for starters.

Maybe he wants to focus on ESD first before making staff changes. Quite possible, and certainly fits Mario’s timeline in terms of how he operates. But man can it be frustrating. It’s like pulling teeth. I promise you all you need is a competent OC, and recruiting will be so much easier. He’s carrying **** near the entire load right now, especially on offense.

He should have been gone already and a new OC announced. If he’s doubling down, we’re in for a world of hurt.

There is David Yost at FIU, former Utah State and Texas Tech OC, who was the hottest OC name a couple of years ago.... he is an young elite QB whisperer and innovative OC. Give him a chance to get back his mojo...
Don't even have to pay relocation.... he just needs to change work location on his GPS

I can get this part but the confusing part is that MARIO is sending Gattis to recruits homes lol. if hes out of here, why the **** are you sending your fired WR coach to lock down your 1 of your only 2 WR recruits lol.

This part is confusing to me too but my only rationalization (and that’s all it is at this point) is that he’s not being tagged in offers to offensive recruits, and yet he’s still working and eating with dudes that are all but locked up. Idk man, it’s odd I’ll agree.
