Issiah Walker in transfer portal

A lot of people who have been preaching about “team chemistry” and getting rid of bad apples are ready to pounce on a kid who couldn’t make it through one week of spring before deciding to transfer. There needs to be some serious vetting done. Plus, even if he somehow gets some magical waiver, we should be trying to get away from starting freshmen linemen. Given the choice, I’d prefer the one year grad transfer we can just plug in at tackle since our line needs immediate experience upgrades.

So many mixed feelings about this.

On one hand, we need a serious infusion of OL talent, and we need really good prospects to anchor our OL, BUT on the other hand, we can’t continue to be the side chick, where kids can flirt w us, diss us, and when the hot chick don’t fulfill her promise, wanna come back. This is y these lil jits have made the comment “Miami is Miami, they’ll always be there.”

We shouldn’t be in this predicament to have this contemplation in the 1st place! Smh
I really wanted this kid to sign with us, but I think we need to send a hard message right now. Hopefully we can send the message and Justice fixes the oline situation or it could look really bad lol.

Kid battled all year not his fault his coaches threw him on national tv against greenard and zuniga and didnt even chip block.
Enos was so incredibly ******. I'm still convinced he was a spy sent by Saban to hold Miami down. Manny is FSU's spy who was handed the job by Richt who unfortunately was turned during his time as an FSU coordinator as well.

He had his chance, coach diaz has to be careful playing the portal game, already got guys on the team that can get the job done, I'd tell em to kick rocks, no more gaytor taint needed at UM.

I agree with the vetting 1000% but who said anything about him starting? He is a talented OT that could be a multi year starter for us and potentially change the outlook of the room but no one is saying start him next season. Atleast I haven’t seen anyone say that.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings.

My initial thought is the Santonio Thomas situation because it feels so similar. But you can’t just talk about character and then pounce on the first four star who comes free. We need to do our homework.

This is nothing on the kid , I don’t blame him for leaving. I’ll just leave it at that.

Diaz literally recently took back a kid who quit on his own team and was in the transfer portal for quite some time ....

I get it, I understand the concern but you can’t do that and then draw the line here? JMO
