Issiah Walker in transfer portal

Metaphor was good just had to make a joke. Some times having too much pride is a problem though. The kid didn't play too many games with us that I know of. I don't even think his recruitment was very long.
Yeah most days I would say different. Just felt like being difficult today. Take em

If anything, I like this precedent lol You can take the money these big SEC schools are offering, and then just transfer back home after a few weeks if you want. Especially if the NCAA is considering relaxing its rule that transfers have to sit out for a year

Its not like the SEC schools can call up the NCAA and say "Hey he took our illegal payments and then bailed!"

Lots of stuff being said on the UF board:

- Family decision. Kid had/has issues he needs to deal with.

- Staff promised him playing time as freshman and then told him they were shirting him

- It's Hevesy's personality; abrasive, mean, etc. (even some comments about being racist thrown in) Supposedly Mullen and staff had to talk another freshman into staying last year. No mention of who but it could have been either of the two they got to flip from us

- A few people have said he seemed to be unhappy from the beginning....

Whatever the reason, Mullen has had a hard time keeping his classes together once they hit campus.....
Recruits just realize Gainesville is a **** place to live in

A smart guy learns from his mistakes. If Manure has a functioning brain, he'll realize that the stupid **** he did last year should not be repeated.

Handle each case on its own merits if you're smart. Don't open the floodgates just because you did it last year. And don't draw a line against taking transfers/quitters just because it didn't work out last year.

I seem to remember this guy Walker's recruitment all over the place with alleged commitments. Then, he quits after a couple months. Not sure what happened with him at UFayg, but maybe it's just a matter of coming to your senses after the bag gets spent. That place is one of USA's greatest toilets.

I honestly see both sides. But bringing back Reed AFTER the season ended doesn’t really fall in line with a “new” vision. Bringing back JT ultimately was a bad idea and we know that now with how the 2020 season went, but he signed off on bringing back Reed after the season was over after the kid left his team high and dry because a young kid beat him out. Ehh

As for Walker, kid committed to USCe his Junior year before he had ANY “big” offers. It was his first big offer and he committed immediately because he was 16 and didn’t know that in 12 months he would be one of the most sought after prospects in America. Once he started getting offers from everyone, he backed off his commitment and verballed to UF early his SR year after taking visits all summer. Once he verballed to the Gaytes, pretty sure he didn’t visit anywhere else. I get it, and I’m all with doing your homework on the kid but I just don’t agree with automatically just drawing the line just because the kid is leaving so soon. We don’t know, and likely never will know what really happened up there with him and UF. This isn’t the first time a kid has left them so soon so I hope they do a thorough dive because we sure could use him ...

Anyone opposed to signing this kid obviously didnt watch our tackles look like turnstiles last season.
That's because they were forced to block for 6.8 seconds due to Enos calling play-action passes like we were the 1998 Buffalo Bills...smh

Yes, it's true, the O line was bad last year,.....at the same time....we all know scheme can change things QUICKLY.....look no further than CMD inheriting a DEF that was bad the year before w/Golden's staff and then the very next season w/MOSTLY the same players it's a Top 25 DEF. How do you explain that? Scheme change is how you explain it.

I don't know the kid. All I'm saying is do your homework. If he's a good or even a decent kid and can play, try to fit him in. I'm not certain I'd take him over a guy who could help me win this year, though, like Williams, because this program needs to win NOW. It's a tough call, but they make a lot of money to make those decisions.

**** skippy.

Well, he loses all credibility if he's quoting that dolt.

If you're referring to what I posted, you don't have to like it or agree. It was simply a sharing of information. It wasn't any more or less credible at that point last night than anything else being posted anywhere.

And if you read it, no where did I endorse it.

Bro Enos sucked but that had no barring on how bad the OL was. He could have helped them not get destroyed but the fact of the matter is very few times did our OL hold up on pass plays and we got minimal push on run plays. Zion whatever the reason may have been was by far the worst starting LT I ve seen in 20 years as cane fan.

That wasn't directed at you but the guy quoting Ferman.

I hear you on that. But....if that's your take....how do you explain our DEF miraculously becoming a Top 25 DEF after a scheme change (in comes Manny/Richt) when just a few months before they were barely cracking the Top 100?

We didnt have 2* prospects all over field on defense in case you forgot. Scheme helps but recruiting talented players is a lot more important. Zion should have never been in a position to start he needed 2-3 years to be ready but lack of recruiting forced him into that beatdown.

People preach about “team chemistry” because Miami has had uneven seasons The last 2 years. Guarantee they wouldn’t be saying anything about that if we won over 10 games in 2018 and 2019 in each season. Fvck all that get as many talented prospects as you can. walker hasn’t played a down of college football and is a premium tackle prospect. There shouldn’t be a decision to make, take this ******* kid period
You're preaching to the choir. I'm an X's and O's/analytics guy. Chemistry is what coaches blame losses on when they suck at coaching. I'm just calling out the people who were just $hitting on the coaches for not cutting off the "bad apples" just a few days ago.

I still desperately want a grad transfer tackle because it fills an immediate need. I know you can't always rely on transfers but when the previous staff left the tackle cupboard completely bare, you have to do something. Fans don't want to sit through another year or two of offensive line growing pains.

We don't have 2* prospects all over the field on offense either. Every linemen on scholarship was at least a 3* composite player. Zion is probably the only guy who you could say was a reach but he was originally a project. There's no reason he should have been playing at all last season. Offensive line play last year was a direct result of both playing waaay too many young guys who weren't ready and a terrible scheme that was reliant on a dominant offensive line to succeed. Expecting two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior to go out there and hold pass blocks for 4 or more seconds while your quarterback is taking a 7 step drop and going through 200 reads was absolutely ridiculous. There was NO chance for success with that kind of offensive scheme.
