Issiah Walker in transfer portal

I’m sure everybody was in his ear after they beat us and we tanked, but it seemed like he was all Gator from that night on without anyone’s help. Everyone makes mistakes though. I’m sure UiF sounded great until he actually had to live there. Mullen and Co can't stop the reality from hitting.
How relevant was that victory besides the rival angle? They win by the skin of their teeth and a peg leg kicker.

I don't know the kid. All I'm saying is do your homework. If he's a good or even a decent kid and can play, try to fit him in. I'm not certain I'd take him over a guy who could help me win this year, though, like Williams, because this program needs to win NOW. It's a tough call, but they make a lot of money to make those decisions.
Another thing to consider is the likelihood Williams comes. What are his other options and how high is he on Miami? Cuz worse case scenario we tell Walker to hit the road and Williams decides to go elsewhere.

I get the "classy angle" but at the end of the day, he's the exact same as Bogle. Staying home wasn't a priority. He willingly made his choice (he chose wrong) like so many SoFla kids do. Are we just going to keep letting them back in with no shame?

If we want to win you let the kid back in. We are talking about a tackle. Any other position I would lean toward your belief but it’s a tackle. Time to swallow your pride and win.

Have a buddy at UF that is going for a degree in sports medicine and as such has some exposure to the football team and staff. Take it with a HUGE grain of salt because I have no idea who his sources are but he said it’s sounding like Walker isn’t fond of the atmosphere on campus and the coaching staff, John Hevesy in particular, and is wanting to be around his family.
Again not sure how reliable the source is but that’s what I’m hearing.

With that said, we need all of the help we can get on the line so I’m all about taking this kid. Could be a high level starter for multiple years.

Bro Enos sucked but that had no barring on how bad the OL was. He could have helped them not get destroyed but the fact of the matter is very few times did our OL hold up on pass plays and we got minimal push on run plays. Zion whatever the reason may have been was by far the worst starting LT I ve seen in 20 years as cane fan.
He brought in that OL coach.

Heck we might have won 10 games. Florida might have finished 7-5. Momentum is everything.

/recruiting is fluid

It would’ve ruined their season for sure and we wouldn’t have gotten off to such a slow start afterwards. Probably wouldn’t have lost the Carolina game which IMO was the nail in the coffin. Florida was the first gun shot, Carolina was the second.

TOS saying Walker wants to come to Miami. They don't think he's a take here now - lot of drama involved... No one really knows right now.

Are you talking about Inside the u? If so, it was clear they are just speculating.

“This is me speculating a bit, but I don't think Miami would take Walker without thinking long and hard about it. Remember, Diaz has said time after time that he and his staff wants kids that want to be at Miami and Walker had his chance to sign with UM, but picked UF.

I’m not saying that the Hurricanes won’t pursue Walker – sounds like they will – but just noting that’s something to keep in mind with all of this as Diaz wants local recruits to value having a spot at Miami.”

We have a living turnstile starting. If anything, pull Zion’s scholarship and give it to Walker.
Oh sure let's pull a dudes scholarship because the coaches set him up for disaster last year. Zion worked his *** off, didn't complain, and wasn't a distraction like some ***** on this team. But no by all means let's take away his scholarship.....

We don't have 2* prospects all over the field on offense either. Every linemen on scholarship was at least a 3* composite player. Zion is probably the only guy who you could say was a reach but he was originally a project. There's no reason he should have been playing at all last season. Offensive line play last year was a direct result of both playing waaay too many young guys who weren't ready and a terrible scheme that was reliant on a dominant offensive line to succeed. Expecting two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior to go out there and hold pass blocks for 4 or more seconds while your quarterback is taking a 7 step drop and going through 200 reads was absolutely ridiculous. There was NO chance for success with that kind of offensive scheme.
"And THE TRUTH, Shall Set You Free" (in my Liar Liar Jim Carrey voice)......PREACH @DTP
