Issiah Walker in transfer portal

Although they aren’t related, trading Lingard for Walker is a no brainer IMO. Kid wasn’t dramatic or anything in his recruitment. Can you honestly blame him with Enos and Barry? You take him no questions asked. We’re not in the position to turn down our most wanted recruit from last cycle because of pride.

If you want to gleefully take in the girl who's been getting piped down by everyone but you, after stringing you along for years, go for it. I'm not that hard up. I'd rather turn the page and find someone else. Their loss, not mine.
Depends how good she is.

A lot of people who have been preaching about “team chemistry” and getting rid of bad apples are ready to pounce on a kid who couldn’t make it through one week of spring before deciding to transfer. There needs to be some serious vetting done. Plus, even if he somehow gets some magical waiver, we should be trying to get away from starting freshmen linemen. Given the choice, I’d prefer the one year grad transfer we can just plug in at tackle since our line needs immediate experience upgrades.
People preach about “team chemistry” because Miami has had uneven seasons The last 2 years. Guarantee they wouldn’t be saying anything about that if we won over 10 games in 2018 and 2019 in each season. Manipulators will always blame something going wrong on something else before themselves to fit a narrative. Not saying there weren’t culture issues but still...

Fvck all that get as many talented prospects as you can. walker hasn’t played a down of college football and is a premium tackle prospect. There shouldn’t be a decision to make, take this ******* kid period.

If Manny is butthurt over a kid not signing with Miami after a 6-7 season with losses to FIU and La Tech, he’s a bigger bytch than I thought. Swallow your pride and improve your team.. Every kid isn’t “bashing” Miami because they don’t want to play for a program that looked atrocious most of last year. Get this kid here
Well said, couldn’t be said any better

If we can make it work, sure. Not over the Houston kid though. Let's win NOW. Make him wait until the fall if he wants in bad enough. At some point, this staff has to stand their ground. Don't be begging for sloppy seconds.
Naw Fvck that, get me a premium tackle for 4 years not just one... enough with the stop gaps

I get the "classy angle" but at the end of the day, he's the exact same as Bogle. Staying home wasn't a priority. He willingly made his choice (he chose wrong) like so many SoFla kids do. Are we just going to keep letting them back in with no shame?

Whos really been shamed the last 17 years? Them or us?

Haha where's the Illinois DT Tito when you need him?! (t was probably a bad metaphor lol)

Metaphor was good just had to make a joke. Some times having too much pride is a problem though. The kid didn't play too many games with us that I know of. I don't even think his recruitment was very long.

Diaz literally recently took back a kid who quit on his own team and was in the transfer portal for quite some time ....

I get it, I understand the concern but you can’t do that and then draw the line here? JMO
A smart guy learns from his mistakes. If Manure has a functioning brain, he'll realize that the stupid **** he did last year should not be repeated.

Handle each case on its own merits if you're smart. Don't open the floodgates just because you did it last year. And don't draw a line against taking transfers/quitters just because it didn't work out last year.

I seem to remember this guy Walker's recruitment all over the place with alleged commitments. Then, he quits after a couple months. Not sure what happened with him at UFayg, but maybe it's just a matter of coming to your senses after the bag gets spent. That place is one of USA's greatest toilets.

Lots of stuff being said on the UF board:

- Family decision. Kid had/has issues he needs to deal with.

- Staff promised him playing time as freshman and then told him they were shirting him

- It's Hevesy's personality; abrasive, mean, etc. (even some comments about being racist thrown in) Supposedly Mullen and staff had to talk another freshman into staying last year. No mention of who but it could have been either of the two they got to flip from us

- A few people have said he seemed to be unhappy from the beginning....

Whatever the reason, Mullen has had a hard time keeping his classes together once they hit campus.....
