I want him to win, because I want Miami to win. I want him to win just like I wanted Blandito to win, and I want Dorito to be good. Just because I want it, doesn't mean I get it. After watching his ill prepared team at the Rustled Athletic bowl, I have seen all I need to see. He is not the man for the job. It's not the loss, it's how we lost. We lost before stepping foot on the field, and that's unacceptable. It means that he lost the team, they weren't willing to play for him, or themselves. It's HIS ******* JOB to get the team prepared and excited for that, he failed. His defenses have failed since forever, and the only unit that was useful from last year, turned into a dumpster fire (offense) this year. No, I don't want to keep Golden. I just want Miami to win, and Golden has done precisely **** in the way of proving he's the man for that job.

We were lucky to get to 9 if you want to be honest with yourself. Two 4th quarter, under 2 minute drives to eek out wins against inferior talent.

It's looking like Franklin is PSU's guy. Although I can't understand why in the world a school that had such a scandal would hire a coach who has his own scandal that is still going on. Not that I'm surprised. Sounds like something PSU would do.
What a relief that Golden will be here. We need continuity and I think eventually he will have no choice to let D'Onofrio go. I agree with those of you who say it should have been done after the RAB, but I guess Golden wants to see what they can do with his players and without all the injuries. Golden is our guy and we need to stand behind him.

Exactly. I said it on the WEZ and got ripped by some for it, but if we played against UNC, UVA, or GT like we played against Loserville, we'd be adding 3 more losses to the list. Duke Johnson by himself can't overcome the entire team quitting before taking the field.
EDIT: Georgia Tech looked better prepared for their bowl game than we did. They played like they cared. How is GT progressing while we regress? That's Golden's job.

When we had Duke we barely beat UNC and WF, yet somehow we were gonna go 11-1.
Duke is the truth and no one is taking anything away from him. But this team has deeper problems than Duke getting injured and they were all exposed going back to the UNC game.

We barely beat UNC because Morris went full ****** and threw an @ssload of picks.
Its amazing how people just cant be objective when they go overboard with bullsh*t. Now the team was utter garbage. We still managed to go 9-4, in Division 1 football, and in the ACC. Something we hadnt done in SOME years. So it couldnt have been THAT f8cking bad. I mean we were ranked in the top 25 for half the season. And guess what f*cknuts, that included the COACHES poll, so many HCs out there felt we were more than just a pile of dogsh*t. There were FSU players after the game in Tally saying we were the best team they had played and that we played them **** tough.
Look, this doesnt have to be one extreme or the other. No one is claiming this was some superstar team with Duke. BUT, Duke was the heart and soul of the offense, and our best player on either side of the ball, anyone claiming that losing him was not DEVASTATING, is full of SH*T. Period. And Im not claiming that we would have won 11 games if Duke doesnt get hurt, but I think we would have been much more competitive in those games. I think we have a decent shot to beat VT and Duke. No running game = fast paced offense all on SM's shoulders, which led to the defense being on the field the whole game. A terrible defense at that.
Things are going to be a LOT better next year. Getting Duke back, having Yearby, and Gus with a year of experience and another offseason of working out and learning the offense, will give us a LOT more depth at the position than we had this year. Throw in Powell in situational work, and our offense has MUCH deeper dimensions than it did this year. I also think RW is going to give the offense many more options, utilizing the TE more, the flats, the middle of the field, throwing to our backs, slot guys, and be able to get first downs.
If we can just get the **** defense fixed, I think this team will be very competitive.
No one here is claiming AG is some great coach, or that he's definitely going to win big here. But we have a lot of talent coming in. Talent that we simply DID not have before. At WORST, I hope that AG may be able to leave this team as stocked as Butch did. Because frankly, all the b*tching and sH8t people here are saying, are the same things people were saying about Butch in 98 and 99.

How INFERIOR was that talent? You know that UNC "talent" was recruited by Butch, while what we have left was Blandy Shammin's left overs, and that trainwreck transition year. I would bet UNCs 2011 class was probably higher rated than ours. So you may want to reconsider how "inferior" their talent is to ours.

Eric Ebron is probably going to be a first round draft pick, and was recruited by Butch Davis. You say that like its some kind of shocking or outrageous thing. Guy is the best TE in the country.
