I still want to keep Golden - FOR THE RECORD!

At this point Golden has lost much credibility, which can only be gained back through winning which is highly unlikely.

Tired of this stood by Miami crap, if he left what other school would have hired him based on his results? His defense has been horrendous since day one.

The guy could win the ACC next season and most people would say he played a weak schedule or the defense only had but to go up. Or some other dumb excuse. I think the injury to Duke Johnson severely under played by Miami fans. I can only think of one team that could such a dynamic player as Duke and rebound. That being the '01 canes team. I honestly believe if Duke remained healthy we'd have won 11games and played FSU in Charlotte. But I don't see some bigger picture right?

His own alma mater didn't want him and in the end used his name as leverage to get the coach they did want. Tells you all you need to know about Golden's "trending" reputation in the college football world
 
I want him to stay primarily because of this recruiting class. This program needs that talent badly. I also dont think the viable replacements are all that exciting. Im not one of the fantasy dreamers on here who thing Donna Shalala is going to rehire Butch or get some A list super star coach. I forsee Mario Cristobal, or Curtis Johnson, or someone like that. As soon as UL opened up, the Petrino fantasy was over and done with, so people can stop whining about AG staying over that. UM could NEVER have offered Petrino what UL can, so it was a moot point.

The fact that you think losing Duke was so devastating that only the 01 Canes team could have recovered tells me you have bigger problems than seeing the big picture.

I think if keep bringing in talent like this class, he can consistently get us to a 10 win program but thats not good enough.

That fact that you DONT think losing Duke was DEVASTATING to this offense, tells me you are totally blinded by irrational hatred, or just being a jack@ss for the sake of it. Are you KIDDING ME? The guy was our BEST player on EITHER side of the ball. PERIOD. He was the heart and soul of the offense. We have NO running game other than Duke. And SM is one of the worst QBs that has ever played at UM in the last 30 years. Losing Duke was a back breaker to this team IMO. I honestly think if we had Duke, we would have had a much better chance to beat Duke and VT. Once we lost the running game, and had to put the ball in SM's hands, it was over for us. 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out, and the defense which was already being held together with scotch tape totally broke.

I dont think an excuse for how bad the defense was, but to say that losing Duke wasnt DEVASTATING to this team, is ridiculous. He was the engine of our offense.

Are you going on record saying that you're satisfied with the coaching staff he has put together? Specifically on defense.

A vote of confidence towards Golden includes a vote of confidence for his performance (staff included).

Not necessarily - a vote of confidence toward Golden is a vote of confidence for his FUTURE performance.
