Golden Presser 11/10 & some QAM quotes 11/11

Comments are concerning. Sometimes calling people out brings out the best of them. Still waiting for him to do that with either coordinator

It's amazing how quick this board has turn on Golden.. I understand the frustration though

I like Al but his stubbornness is starting to scare me.
I know he has a well documented plan but he has got to make adjustments on the run (like a good qb has to).
The process needs to be less rigid, he doesn't have all the answers in his book.
He seems to be loyal to a fault. He has to learn to bite the bullet and make changes for the betterment of the team.
I know he can do this thing but I am looking for signs of ruthless leadership. I have Saban in mind.

We won't win with this guy. It's going to be a tough 2 years.

This next coach is going to inherit some real ballers. All I'm asking of Al moving forward, is to stock the cupboard for the next guy.

That's where I'm at now.

Agreed! Get the depth in position and recruit some solid ballers. I think many people will change there tune when we lose the next 3 games. Our staff is complete joke! Hurlie has no business coaching RBs, Caroll has been a joke, Kehoe is a disappointment, Donofrio is .... You already know

People need to stop saying the fan base is turning on Golden. That isn't the case. I think fans are calling bull **** when they see it, and once again, we saw it last night. I think Golden is a smart man and I believe he will make an executive decision on his boy, the question is when will he do it? I think it is evident that Golden is losing his defensive players. The kids do not believe in what they are doing, and rightfully so. It's time for some serious change.

I've always seen this coming. I made a thred earlier in the season taking about this staff being stubborn but every just kept hollering undefeated. Only way d'onofrio will be fired is if blake feels the fans are getting fed up. It's building up now with former players and fans.

Perhaps playing man to man with your 240 pound Linebacker on a receiver all game is not the best way to play any defense

This. These clowns have no clue how to play or teach man to man. And why should they... they are soft zone cheese bots.
Charlie Strong would do wonders with this group & you can bet your a$$ we'd be playing man press with nickel and dime packages.

If Blake James needs to be the bad guy then so be it.

I am not a Morris fan, but he didnt give up 500+ yards, or fumble kickoffs, or drop passes.

Tired of the excuses. Always blames the execution. This coming from someone who likes Golden.

How about the fact that a LBer is one on one with a WR in space?

Or a S line up inside is one on one with a WR outside the hash?

Or the fact that our play calling on both sides is so predictable?

Sittuation where a player is put in an impossible situation to succeed.

I hope folks challenge him on the hotline call...totally should not continue happening...he needs to be pressed on this.

This is where fans get stupid getting ****ed about any and every answer a coach gives. When your losing there are no right answers for fans short of I had Corch No D fall on his sword last night.

They could have said that.

How can you fire your best friend? This isn't an easy one.

This is literally the Stockdale Paradox.

I have optimism for the future. Our recruiting class will be very strong, we bring back a lot of talent. I think at QB and RB we will be very deep and talented.

But the defense... enough is enough. The 100th ranked offense just shoved the ball down our throats.

Which is really my worst case scenario. We needed Golden at minimum to ride through this NCAA **** and recruit as best he can, repair the high school relationships etc.....and recruit and restock for the next two years. Next coach will have a much easier go of it.

I DONT think Golden his the problem, he is very uncomfortable holding No D accountable and thats the problem. But finally they will have to coach to prove something because they have been getting a free ride and blaming the past for 3 years now. U can blame the NCAA for recruiting but u cant for the schemes. If Miami gets back, we will get back our ferocious aggressive defense, not the chit No D is playing. U can wait 2 more years and it will be 5, not gonna change. We dictate to offenses, no sit back and get nickel and dime to death.

Shouldn't have hired him to start with - his problem.

You NEVER hire friends or family.

Bobby Bowden was brought down by his ****** Offensive Coordinator who couldn't coordinate a fart with a wince, and he burned up all the good will he had ever accumulated over decades at FSU.

Jeff brought down Bobby, and D'Onofrio will bring down Golden.

Difference being, Golden doesn't have decades of chips to trade.
