How was Shannon able to win 9 games his third year? Without proper weightlifting, no strength table, country club mentality,mismanaged practices, unorganized overall, etc..... Serious question.

VT spanked the **** out of us. That was FSU's last year with Bobby as a HC so we pulled out a close one. OU had the worst season they had had in years. We still lost to UNC that year because Butch owned Radio. Then Radio capped the season off in embarrassing fashion losing to Wisconsin. But it was cold in Orlando that night so that was understandable.

Serious question, where is this great win from 2009? The teams who were any good that year blasted us...

Butch has at least done something in his career and has the best eye for talent in the country. What's Golden's excuse for being Mike London's ****?

I am rooting for him and really hoping that he is the guy. I dont think that he will tank the program a la Coker or Shannon though. I think he has enough track record as a coach and program manager to be pretty sure that he will at least maintain a healthy roster and have guys playing 100% every week, which is an upgrade over Coker and shannon

I was not saying that I do not have expectations for this season. However I do not need anything more than what he is doing for me to say wether or not I think he is a good coach. I think he is a good coach TODAY! I don't need to throw my unrealistic expectations on him. I will root for my 'Canes and I can finally do so and actually feel like we have a shot at winning big. I NEVER thought RS had what it took to get us to the top of CFB. And I will be honest I was a huge RS supporter but he let me down time and time again. AG so far has not let me down in any way that made me question his ability to right this team. We were on the verge of being TERRIBLE under RS. Just my .02

I guess you guys don't remember Maryland went like 3-9 that year... As a matter a fact I think we were the only BCS team they beat that year... Yea we had starters outbut that game was inexcusable 300 yads passing on WR screens we made no adjustments at halftime. It wasn't a lack of talent why we lost we simply got outcoached and outperformed by a team who went 3-9 the rest of the year, we thought Maryland was good at the end of the game but they weren't

I guess you don't remember how Maryland was ravaged by injuries and suspensions that year that really took a toll on that team.
But on opening day they vs us they were as complete as they were all year and we were as depleted as we would be all year. End result is what you have.
SMH at people that hold that game against Golden. Really shows your football acumen.

Well he can hold a conversation with the media without looking or sounding like a complete focking idiot for one. Oh and then there's this thing HC's have to do called recruiting. Yeah, Golden is a beast at recruiting. His roster management is leaps and bounds better than that grub he took over for. Just look at the number of QB's, WR's, etc on the roster right now. No more hanging our hopes on one QB because of a lazy recruiter. How about player development? So many of these players were on the verge of washing out and Golden coached them up and made something out of them. Or do you not remember Streeter in the doghouse because Radio liked to hold grudges against kids if they didn't respect his authority? How about Kendall Thompkins finally breaking out this year? How about what Golden did with McGhee? He was soft mentally and physically and had zero football IQ and is about to be drafted into the league.

Let me ask you a question, why do you hate Golden so much? Is it the color of his skin?

True, but we had that problem with shannon too... they'd be magicians if they could fix that in one preseason, using the same guys that had that same issue before.
