No more excuses means that there can be no more talk about the previous regime or any external factors. If we don't win in 2013 it's because we weren't good enough and not because of anything that happened prior or during Al's time here.

You guys are funny with your "NO EXCUSES!! NO EXCUSES!!!"

He inherited a TERRIBLE roster full of guys who should be playing at FIU or guys who think they were born 1st round draft pick and don't have to work for it. Guy has been improving the program day by day with the most high profile NCAA investigation in the history of college sports hanging over his head, and its STILL not done! We're still fighting the NCAA on a daily basis.

He landed a top 5 class in 2012, the #15 class this past Feb, higher if you rank by quality over quantity, and thats WITH us losing kids left and right do to negative recruiting and the threat of probation and further lost bowls (let alone the death penalty **** Muschamp and others were spewing on the trail)!

The guy has done a masterful job so far. If you don't realize you're witnessing the salvation of the program, just get off the ******* bandwagon NOW. We don't need your kind.

SHannon had no "Track record of success" when he was hired but that didn't stop you from "Blindly" following him.

LOL. Probably for the same reason that teams are upset every single week in CFB? **** happens. And teams with our lack of Junior and Senior talent and leadership, and even more importantly depth at many positions, are even more susceptible late in the season.

But way to tie your evaluation of Golden to one late season game when our depth was exposed. Talk about a small amount of data to extrapolate from.

Because you didn't hold Randy, who really had no track record of success as a HC, to the same standard you hold Al.

Because people like you are too uninformed to realize that a lot of the roster problems we STILL HAVE are due to his recruiting failures.
 
Excited this thread is still going. For those who question why some fans appreciate what AG & Co are doing and are arguing wins/losses, coaching resumes, etc:

It's been 2 seasons. Two seasons that started with the most ridiculous NCAA allegations/investigation in history. Two seasons after the previous regime accounted for the worst winning % since the program became relevant & after the firing of 2 HCs in 4 years. Our program was a trainwreck and the plan our staff has implemented appears to be repairing this glorious U. Barring a disastrous 2013, I don't understand how you're not riding with AG.

I'm plenty informed. I also am not here to discredit Al for the job he's done getting things back on track. I'm just waiting for the results. Al's done a great job of loading this roster with talent and developing the holdovers from the previous regime. I'm pretty sure we're going to have a really, really good season in 2013 and we should all be disappointed if that's not the case.

I'm plenty informed. I also am not here to discredit Al for the job he's done getting things back on track. I'm just waiting for the results. Al's done a great job of loading this roster with talent and developing the holdovers from the previous regime. I'm pretty sure we're going to have a really, really good season in 2013 and we should all be disappointed if that's not the case.

I'm not claiming to be right or wrong about Al. I want him to succeed. I'm just skeptical of his ability as a HC. The other end of the spectrum is people like bomb who are 100% behind Al no matter what, and that's fine. I like Al and I'm excited as **** that he's here, I personally just want to see results in 2013 in the form of wins, which I fully expect to be the case.

How is it a joke? The only things that are pointed to when the discussion of whether or not Al's "the guy" surfaces is 1. Golden's physical appearance (ghey, but whatever?), 2. How well Golden addresses the media/speaks and 3. Golden's organizational skills/3 Penny films.

None of the afforementioned, save "maybe" organizational skills, has much do do with winning ballgames..which is the true measure of whether or not a specific coach is "the guy".....just sayin'....

Or is it the "Randy was great and only should have been replaced by Nick Saban or Butch Davis" agenda.
