Further condemnation of Shannon's classes...

Changes in history usually occur after some kind of catastrophic event. It may be 9/11, which sort of changed the spirit of America relative to catastrophic events. Pearl Harbor kind of got us ready for World War II, and that was a catastrophic event. Hopefully the 2012 UVA game will act as our catastrophic event from the standpoint of winning football games.

I'm can't tell if this is written in jest.

Goldens and company have done a good job of sifting through the rubble and extracting what they could from the mess left by the previous regime. However, there was enough talent in 2011 to have performed better than 6-6.

Those losses to Maryland and BC really stick out as inexcusable in spite of the external circumstances which surrounded both games. Close losses to K-State, VTech, and FSU were hard fought games that were there for the taking. The talent pool dropped off considerably from 2011-2012, but to say that Goldens inherited nothing from Shannon is just false. We could have gone 9-3/8-4 in 2011 with the talent available and that could have boosted recruiting and the program's image. Goldens is not absolved from criticism, despite however much you don't want that to be the case.

Losing to Merryland as the result of a majority of starters being suspended a week before the game will give Golden a pass from me. However, losing to BC to end the season is inexcusable imho

The loss to BC was a result of JH reverting to pre Fisch form and the team echoing Shannon era performance. The team went through alot in Goldens first year - heart breaking loses and Shapiro distractions and suspensions -they were spent emotionally. He had the team finishing the season strong in his second year - the first time this team has finished strong in years and years.....he gets a pass from me.

Its year 3. We have a bunch of potential pros on our offense and the juniors are already Golden's guys its time we move on from Randy

We will live with Randall until cats dont have to be thrown into the fire their first year here to plug holes or to ad depth.

Alot of the players quit in the BC game and they were Shannon recruits. Also, Jacory 4 got what team he played 4 because he kept throwing 2 the wrong team.

We faced some adversity and finally we are looking at the end.
Adversity either motivates teams like Penn State. Or kills a team like the New Orleans Saints. You either give up or you fight. UM and Golden have chosen to fight.

Our struggle was at the high point when Golden arrived.
I like AG. Im optimistic about coach D and the defense. But that's a different topic until after the season. 3 years is enough time to see what a coach can do.

So you're impressed with the hard fought games vs KSU, VT, and FSU but hold the his 1st game ever as Canes HC with 10 key players suspended against him?

Also, the 2011 talent level is overstated. The most talented of the bunch, Oliver Vernon, missed 6 games that year. The rest were underachieving players that got drafted in late rounds based physical skills and not so much football skills. Travis Benjamin and Miller fast as ***, average players. Streeter has the size and speed the NFL covets, average college player.
Get past these guys and the rest of the players on our 2011 were puppies with no experience that Golden had no choice to through in the fire because of Shannon's poor recruiting.

I guess you guys don't remember Maryland went like 3-9 that year... As a matter a fact I think we were the only BCS team they beat that year... Yea we had starters outbut that game was inexcusable 300 yads passing on WR screens we made no adjustments at halftime. It wasn't a lack of talent why we lost we simply got outcoached and outperformed by a team who went 3-9 the rest of the year, we thought Maryland was good at the end of the game but they weren't

Amazing, RS supporters still exist. Who cares?

What does Randy Shannon have to do with Goldens getting out-coached by Edsall against Maryland?

I will directly respond to you even though you fail to answer my questions.

There is a very high correlation of people who bring up the Maryland game and put it on Golden and people who still support RS.

I am not going to get into Maryland in 2011 because me and you see it differently.

Which one of these two clowns do you guys think is MiamiNights?

Randy was the worst coach I have ever seen in any sport in my life. The man was a step above retarded, and his players outside of one or two were either JAGs or flat out losers.

The BC game was the defining moment for what Randy's regime was: a joke ****** not even CFL level QB throwing FOUR INTs at home in his final game.

The MD featured the joke loser backups that are even worse than the joke starters Randy left us. JAGs like Mike James, who I love personally, made critical errors. Mike James is the guy that on a real UM team doesn't play unless it's a blowout or the starter tears his ACL.

The team had never lifted properly, never studied film properly. Half were suspended, and then other half never saw game time bc they weren't from MNW or BTW, and thus werent favored. They were playing new systems. Their "leader" was a joke QB that fans loathed who took his job as seriously as a teenager takes square dancing class. The other "leaders" fancied themselves to the NFL, where they are all MISERABLE.

There is no such thig as being out coached in college. It's about execution. And when your team is full of selfish, dumb, stay puffed marshmallow men, with the backups even worse, YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE GAMES TO 3-9 TEAMS.

This sounds like an excuse to me

And you must forget that Miami was missing players for the game which included the starting QB on the road from a team that went 6-6??? So glad that loser Randy is long gone from Coral Gables. Anyone with half a brain understood he was trash...

Again, what does Randy have to do with anything? Goldens has gone 13-11 here with losses to Maryland, BC, UVA, UVA, UNC, KSU, KSU, FSU, FSU, VT, ND. Only three losses to bad teams. Nobody is saying he should have gone 24-0 his first two years, but he's had time to get things fixed. This isn't such a massive rebuilding job. Put up or shut up in 2013.

If u read the quote I acknowledged we had players out **** I preferred Morris over jacory, it was the defense donofrio he's just the worst.

You never really respond to direct questions. Good for you.
