Do you know anything about the situation to know if he is being rushed back? I think not. We have plenty of other backs. We aren’t desperate. So if he is ready then he is ready.

If it's a Lisfranc, 6-9 months is a typical time frame so Fletcher is in the earlier part of that range so it wouldn't be impossible for him to be ready 8/31.

If you take Mario's comments at face value, then you do so at your own peril.

Not saying he will not be ready, but nobody other than a handful of people know the truth.

Give it time and rely on what gets reported e.g., Riding the bike during practice? Wearing a non-contact jersey? Does he get carries during any of the pre-season scrimmages? Do they make him available for a post-practice interview?

Those are the keys to focus on. There are no absolutes in July.
