Finally Admit Lanning > Mario

Then he promptly goes to Miss State and starts beating SEC teams with Miss State talent. Yeah, he was a real good coach. One that would have fit the talent in South Florida perfectly. Instead, we get one Miami failure after another.

Leach just wanted to see what he could do with Miami talent, and I don't blame him. I wanted to see that a **** of a lot more than I wanted to see a pitiful game day coach ***** everything under the sun up with pathetic coaching decisions.
You forget that Donna Shalala was running the show around here when Leach wanted the job.

Kicking a fg was retarded for one.
Disagree. It makes Syracuse offense more predictable they will run the ball trying to run out the clock. Less field to defend. Our DC prides himself on stopping the run… go for it on 4and goal at the 10 now you have 90 yards to defend down by 7 less predictable offense misdirection is on the table for syracuse also 1on 1 matchups down the field due to us selling out with cover 0 blitzes hoping for the best.

Boy that was special. Legit some of the most impressive **** I think I’ve ever seen on CIS. 🤌🏾🤌🏾

Look at it this way. We were in the stone ages for a program. Mario has at least elevated it to a somewhat even playing field. That doesn’t happen without him bc of his connections to the deep pockets.
Keep the faith he keeps this going so the next guy can go the next level.

You are crazy thinking you could rely on that D who didn’t force a punt since first qtr.
1 if you convert we are tied
2 if we don’t they have first and ten at their 7….they will run it there as well

To not give your QB and Offense who are best in the nation a chance is retarded
End of story

You send Lanning here instead of Mario he’s probably got a similar record as the past 5 coaches through 3 years. Same with Lashlee. Killing it at SMU, but would he really be doing much better than Mario at this point? There’s always something that kills them and they end up average.

Maybe it’s just us? We’re locked in with Mario and I’m ok with that, because it doesn’t seem there would be much of a difference with anyone else.

BS...we needed a stop either way so give your All ACC QB a shot from the 9 and if they don't get the TD at least Syracuse is backed up.

Lanning was handed the keys to a Ferrari. Mario had them humming in recruiting and made serious in roads into Cali. He also got Knight way more involved and by the time Mario left, NIL/portal exploded and Lanning took full advantage. Still hasn’t won anything despite having a great college qb and a ton of talent. I don’t think they get it done this year either
He's in his 3rd year as a HC and has them in the Big 10 championship game on Saturday. What the **** was Mario won here? But keep telling yourself all of Lanning's success is because of Mario lol

This will be fun to bump when Penn st denies lanning another conference title. You guys are more soft than Oregon fans rn.
Let's see how Mario does in the ACC championship game on Saturday night...oh yeah, he blew a 21-0 lead and Miami is sitting at home on Saturday

Many on here say Mario left Lanning a great situation, but the #s say otherwise as far as # of transfers Lanning has made in his tenure to improve his roster. This was year 3 of Mario and Lanning is running circles around him again. Oregon got the better of the deal with Mario coming here
Yea he is

I was hoping this was what Mario would do on the trail

If you think Oregon and Miami’s situation are the same and they started at the same place there is nothing can be said because you aren’t logical and don’t want the truth.

Oregon has over a 70% win pct over the last 2 decades.

Oregon has elite facilities and single NIL spender who can/will and does outspend all of Miami nil efforts combined.

Oregon’s core roster was definitely better than Miamis 3 years ago.

Miami has above average facilities.
Miami has a strong NIL program but is far for the richest.

Miami has been a dumpster fire for 2 decades and have a slightly higher than .500 win %

But yeah sure Dan Lanning’s situation sucked.
This post is right though

its harder to recruit here compared to Oregon. they have the money and no one cares about them like they do us. everyone neg recruits us and media craps on us all the time. we have also stunk for 20 years. Lanning is a beast though. like him alot.
I do agree Miami fans in general are literally cooked. No brains at all, they still think we were Miami for 20 years. We turned to Rutgers for 20 years and they think someone can walk in and kill that stench immediately. This program was *** for a long time we were all just watching ed reed and Sean T highlights every year for 29 ******* years. We brain washed ourselves thinking “yea that’s us, the u”

Bruh nah we been ***, this was always going to be the toughest job for any head coach and these types of builds take time. But you have to stay near the top 5 each recruiting cycle to get there faster. He’s done well, 10 wins in year three with his first year having an arena league roster. That’s not bad, I would have signed up for that in the beginning of the season.
