lol i love how the maribros come out every time not one week after he couldnt coach situational football again.

lanning is a better coach than mario and has wins at a neutral site against PSU who is in the semis (but yall forget that one) and beat OSU earlier this year along with being the only unbeaten team in the b10 and country.

they had a great year but OSU ALWAYS had a better roster and talent coming in. they were a top 2 team preseason for a reason. theyre finally playing to their potential since the michigan loss. either way, give me oregons season any day of the week compared to what we just did with a MUCH better QB.

He turned over the entire roster when he got there.

hes recruiting at an even better level than mario did.

hes only in his third season ever as an HC.

we regressed in the first year mario took over for no reason whatsoever.

were going on our third DC bc we fired 2 of them. we just produced the worst defense since the dorito days. we also need an entirely new defensive roster entering our fourth year with mario.

but i guess maribros will never stop defending what has been a failure esp given the level of QB play we got this year.

Tell me you think recruiting at Miami is the same as recruiting at Oregon. I love seeing people put that in writing.

yeah youre right. oregon was never recruiting elite classes. it began with mario and lanning took it to a whole new level consistently. tell me you never looked up their classes under Kelly or Helfrich. this is why 12 year olds shouldnt have access to the internet esp ones that cant afford a donation to miami. mario is a good recruiter as evidenced by his first 2 classes here and his transition class. he also has more resources than any coach at miami has ever received. we also just had our worst class in the mario era and is becoming more and more apparent that recruiters dont matter, the NIL does. we need to hit on our evals, which we havent done much at all here so far in the first 2 classes.

That’s literally the point. Oregon has been established for 20 years. Lanning has it pretty easy at Oregon.

What is that goofy thing about donating to Miami?

That beat down he gave Utah in 2019 to win the Pac 12 championship was arguably his best win. Utah was #5 poised to make 4 team playoff, and Mario and Oregon beat them down. He then beat #8 Wisconsin to win Rose Bowl.

You cant just play one side of the narrative.

Also yes he got the Covid chance at Pac 12 title, but he rolled into Los Angeles and beat #13 Southern Cal quasi home game to win the title.

He also left Lanning with one of the best OL rooms in America. And numerous pieces in the defensive front 7. Basically he left Lanning a strong LOS team.

He also went into the shoe and beat ohio state without his best player.
 
Looking at it in a vacuum, Lanning was not prepared for OSU to adjust since last game. Erickson failed to properly prepare for Alabama in the 93 Sugar Bowl, so it happens to the best of them.

It just show how ignorant to the fact people are. Mario is what he is. He is a poor man John calipari. Poor man meaning he can't recruit at the level of cali but he can recruit but now I'm not sure he can do that at an elite level due to his coaching acumen the conference Miami's in and nil. But Mario like calipari when they are in situations where they need to out scheme a team they can't because they can't coach. He hasn't really improved as a coach which is sad. He was under saban and it seems like he didn't really learn enough from his time under him. We currently have developmental QBs on the roster that's it. Mario takes forever to hire coordinators then he doesn't allow them to bring in their own people which is crazy. Who knows what the coaches meeting are like under Mario. But we look bad right now as bad as we have over the last 20 years. Again you loss 3 of your last 4. You loss to teams you have no business losing to. Then you have no recruiting advantage. I'm not sure Mario can secure some of the high rated oline prospects anymore due to nil. Atm we ****ed.

He also took over a healthy program with stacked classes and one on deck. He’s a good coach but hasn’t proven anything other than he loses big games

I know you despise Mario, but trying throw in Pop Tarts bowl like a gotcha, when Mario had his QB out 2nd half, his top 4 WRs out, his #2 TE, his starting CB opted out(still have no explanation on that) isnt exactly fair.

Im sure you were fine with all those guys not playing also
