Finally Admit Lanning > Mario

And the reverse applies in that Lanning went to the CFP in his 3rd season as a HC and won double digits every season, or how about Kenny Dillingham winning the BIG12 and going to the CFP in just his 2nd season as a HC (following two consecutive 3-9 seasons no less). Mario should be better with all this experience under his belt, but just last year he didn't take a knee against GT, which he also did at Oregon, got manhandled by MTSU his 1st season here, blew a 21-point lead against Syracuse and kicked a FG from the 2-yard line in the prestigious Pop Tarts Bowl
Sure. Like I said, there is a lot of empirical evidence to be critical of Mario. That's fair.

All I was trying to say is that we have no idea what Lanning is at this moment or Dillingham for that matter. They might just make a Tom Herman-esque slide into nowhere for all we know. That stuff happens when you try to judge a coach 2-3 years in.

Possible, but we know that Mario is a below average game day coach, and his recruiting advantage has been negated with NIL. Bottom line, there is no excuse for not winning the ACC this year with everything Mario was given

Ehhh, K Thibs got all the fan fare, but just like his NFL career, he was off & on. I would argue Noah Sewell was the best player on defense for UO, & K Thibs was a very important piece.
Mario has actually been strong in top 25 games, he even beat Louisville at FIU. his problem has been the stumbles against lesser teams.

his last year at Oregon, those Utah loses were more last of focus because after Manny lost to mich st, Mario and Miami begin talks.

So what are his excuses for losses now?

Comparing the state of each program isn’t anywhere close to comparison. You guys need to understand that Mario didn’t destroy the program. He actually left the program in a very good state. Now, transfer portal and NIL changed the football environment. Though Mario isn’t the problem. If you want to blame anyone blame the school for the last 20 years. Mario is here to bring the team back from the dead and get us winning again. It did not end the way we wanted it to but the progress continues into next year.

Are you on record as saying that Dillingham is now officially a better coach?

Laugh all you want but Oregon went to the CFP and Mario couldn't even win the Pop Tarts Bowl lol
WTF are you even talking about?

I was asking who is "finally" saying he is better than Mario....that has steadily been clear as it relates to head coaching.

This company line written somewhere? How is it possible for clown after clown to regurgitate the same tired lie page after page. You deserve a pop tart trophy.
I’ll ask this again and see if you’ll answer.
Tell me what Lanning has done that Mario didn’t do at Oregon despite having every advantage at Oregon?

Too soon to say, but it's a fact that Dillingham in his 2nd year accomplished more than Mario has in his 3 years here and he inherited an even worse team. Facts are facts

For all I/we know, Lanning is better. But the problem with this board is everyone wants to be first and make proclamations. A lot of coaches have looked really good and then time tells a different story. Take Lincoln Riley as an example. Or Charlie Weis or Ty Willingham, who were once the darlings of this board too. Heck, there was a lot of Norvell slurping last year too. Lanning has coached 41 games. Mario has coached 160. Easy to find flaws when you've been a head coach as long as Mario has vs. 3 seasons.
Logical posting on here is refreshing
