Last 15 games our leading scorers:
Wong 3
Pack 4
Omier 3
Poplar 1
Miller 4
Find me another team with this versatility?
No question that are starting 5 is good as it gets, but I have been concerned with are bench scoring all year. We are going to need alot of minutes from this group. If it was just 5 on 5 we win, otherwise may be a close game. If the 5 can get some rest and we do not lose much ground, we win this game at the end. Like to see Beverly play his best game.

for those waiting on booking air travel or hotels, get on it. everyting out of Florida skyrocketed and hotels are nuts right now. i got an airbnb for sat to tues for less than one night at a hotel and im in galleria

It’s been this way all tournament against every team we’ve played. Comical.
Yes but it’s been especially annoying, like they won’t acknowledge at all, that we just beat Texas and Houston. Good chance either of those teams would be a favorite over UConn; Houston for sure would have and we boat raced them. I get picking UConn it’s just the way they are talking about it .

Does anyone think miami will eventually have to offer some type of NIL money to Wooga in order for him to stay here?
I would think he has some NIL deal in place already.. and I got fam on the football team who deal went up the next season so wouldnt be surprised. He is supposed to be one of our key players next season, its only right..

Zero chance. Barring injury (or a change in work ethic/coachability) I think he’s a lottery pick after next season. I didn’t understand when L first started to hint at that… but now it seems pretty easy to see.

He's one of the key reasons I think next years team has a solid chance to be better than this years team.

In addition, the Hurricanes face a UConn team that has trouble with fouls. The Huskies rank 10th in the Big East and 262nd in the country in fouls per game (18.0). That bodes well for a Miami team that ranks 11th in the nation in free throw percentage (78.0).

That actually great and not something I’ve heard anyone talk about . We attack those bigs early and often and take them out of the game

A dose of sanity from the UCONN forum, "Miami shreded two of the best defenses in the country the last two games. 1.2 pts. per possession against a #4, #2 and #1 seed. Doing it mostly from 2 pt. land where Miami shot 53%, 57% and 63%. Houston had the 5th best 2 pt. difference in the country and it didn't matter."

There, now everyone feeling better?

Clingan is a difference maker for UConn. When he comes in to give Sanogo a breather, you could argue the team is better. He's very efficient offensively and defensively and for a 7ft2 guy runs the court extremely well. It's not uncommon to watch Andre toss him an alley on a fast break. The 2nd unit for UConn is less talented than the 1st (obviously) but are good not great shooters. Miami can take advantage here. No combination of Diarra, Calcaterra or Alleyne will prove difficult for Joseph or Poplar to defend. Making up any deficit that UConns starters cause will be paramount towards success. Walker needs to play well this game in his minutes. He absolutely has to play the defensive game of his life or Clingan will eat Miami alive.

Full disclosure folks. I'm actually a huge UConn fan. I was born in CT. I've loved the basketball team since 95 with Ray Allen. And I love Miami basketball since I became a fan of this entire program around 06. I'm truly torn. I wish this game was for the Natty. These are the 2 best teams in the entire tournament and it's a shame they have to meet before the final. I hope whoever wins is healthy and goes on to have that one shining moment. Lol. Enjoy the shoe should be a great game
If Clingan plays a lot, that means Sanogo is in foul trouble, and that is very good for Miami.
