Just a little sample....I mean Rick Fox in it as well. I dont think I have to say anymore.I have never seen it. I’ll have to check it out, lol.
Yep. I posted this about a week ago. We’re not going to be the #1 offense in the country with Mendoza at the helm, but we could be top 25. If our defense makes a sizable year-over-year improvement, we can potentially win 10 games again, be in the ACC title picture, and in striking distance of the playoffs.I'm more open to Mendoza than I was before. Ultimately, next year's offense is going to be of a completely different character, and we're going to rely much more on our run game. For me - and looking at his stats, film, and background - Mendoza's a guy with a high football IQ, strong work ethic, good character, and decent arm talent. He's more than a game manager, and I think he's what we think Emory could be (he's already reached that point).
He did more with less on a Cal team that (outside Ott who was injured a lot of the time) had a terrible OL and little talent at WR. You pair a guy like him with our OL, Fletcher/Lyle, and WR's like Daniels and Concepcion (hopefully), + our other high upside WRs, and that could be a formula for success.
People are focussing on the wrong thing when it comes to next year's success. It's going to be all about whether our defense can take a step up. We had the #1 offense in the country this year, and it didn't matter because our defense couldn't stop a cold.
we could be top 10 but still need a real defense.Yep. I posted this about a week ago. We’re not going to be the #1 offense in the country with Mendoza at the helm, but we could be top 25. If we were making some huge moves on defense and adding an elite can’t miss receiver then I would agree.I purposely watched his best game and the FSU game so I can get the range and I'm lead to assume people haven't watched him. He's good.
He isn't Cam but there are 12 teams in the playoffs that don't have a Cam Ward or a Jaxson Dart for that matter.
We need to fill the holes on the defense with big time transfers. If they do that and sign Mendoza then we're cooking more than the average fans or offseason liars at FSU and Florida think.
He had several really good games. Just being the same guy he was at Cal would probably get us 8 or 9 wins. Our fans should not be taking that for granted. He was **** good against us. Granted, our defense was more akin to a sieve than a barrier, but I walked away from that game thinking he was pretty good.
A poster on here called Mendoza to The U months ago.
I hope he is right.
You're 100% right that it's all dependent on if those holes are filled and not just with ok players but with legitimate talent. If we were making some huge moves on defense and adding an elite can’t miss receiver then I would agree.
But that’s the issue.
I think people are concerned because we had the best quarterback in the nation and it got us 10 wins. Not only did we miss the playoffs, but we didn’t even win our conference.
So naturally, we’re not gonna be very impressed by getting Mendoza without those issues being solved. And getting Mendoza isn’t exactly the type of quarterback that’s gonna start attracting all of this talent that we need.
We wouldn’t mind getting Mendoza if we were seeing a lot of the holes that this team had this past season being addressed and being addressed with a **** steel plate reinforcement.
And if we’re hoping to poach players from playoff teams, we have to take him into consideration that those teams are getting millions of dollars just to be in the playoffs and the further they go the more money they get. That means they’re gonna have even more money to try and stop the poaching.
dude is going to get ray ray 1000 receiving yardsHe just threw for 3,000 yards with no weapons and the worst power 4 offensive line. He's getting recruited aggressively by a lot of great schools. Scouts view him as a pro player. Some of you need to turn on the film
So are we lookin at the guy or not? Lmao
This right here.If we use that huge gap of savings between Mendoza and Mateer on defensive players and one more receiver then I'm with it.
I just watched Cal vs FSU to give myself context for his worst game and we can only hope that Emory is that good. I don't know why there are assumptions that's automatic.
If our recruiting and development is as good as we think it's been then supplementing on the DL and DB with Mendoza is a good bridge to Nickel.
We've got more than enough impact guys the last 2 years and this is the year to step up and confirm what we thought about them. Patterson, Scott, Lightfoot, Aguirre, Artavius Jones, Pruitt, Trader, Carr. We develop the guys we have and this is a good football team.
My manA 7 that cooks, cleans, and does that thing you like in bed is better than a 10 that doesn’t do any of it.
Learned that from the bar closing at 3AM on Broadway my freshman year of college. That night was the equivalent of the coaches kid that couldn’t make contact off a tee getting an at bat on senior night and going yard dead center on a 0-2 count.
And a 7 might be generous. But woke up and my house was clean, kitchen spotless, bathroom scrubbed, breakfast in bed, and she paid for her own ride home.
I have never seen it. I’ll have to check it out, lol.
In case you were being sarcastic - the personal foul was Mario's fault. He put up with the kids behavior for years and never did squat to change it. Who was surprised he got one more pf to add to his collection?
