FAU. That's cute.

Lol that's like saying Larry Coker's a great coach even though he won with Butch's players....but please continue pump up a coach who hasn't touched the CWS since '06. He hasn't even gotten past his regional in years and you're over here all goo goo eyes about him. It even took him seven years after '94 to even win another regional and get back to the CWS.

Please post the number of regionals that Jim Morris won at Georgia Tech while talking about how long it took Danny Hall to win another one.
Please post how Danny Hall built the program up?? Even though he goes 7 years and 9 years in between his CWS runs and regional wins while it took Jim Morris 4 years to even create a talented enough roster to make a regional in the first place instead of inheriting one like Danny did??

That's an incredibly random (and stupid) request.

A team could win the national championship and not beat a #1 seed. Would you whine? Would you demand that they give the trophy back?

So it's not telling that Jim Morris has lost every single game against the #1 seeds for seven straight years? You might be able to go one season without playing a #1 seed, but you darn sure can't go seven seasons without playing one. And in those seven seasons he hasn't beaten a #1 one time. But somehow he is being lauded as a postseason hero.

But 2001. I know.

No because it's random.

Jim Morris can't control whether Dallas Baptist wins their Regional. But somehow if they had won then you'd change your tune?

You can only play the teams that are in front of you.

The # 1 seeds that we've lost to in the span (Florida a bunch times, Louisville) were top 5 teams on the road. No # 2 seed is supposed to win those games. Those teams (2009-13) weren't good enough to beat heavily favored # 1 seeds on the road.

I love how you throw out that statistic like it's a giant sample size when in reality it's not.

Those 9 games came in 5 seasons (2009-13) and against only two schools (Florida and Lousiville). All but one of them was not just a # 1 seed but a national seed and all of them were on the road.

Go find any teams like those (2009-13) that were supposed to beat national seeds on the road.

That's the point......why are we always the underdog? Why did we spend six years either being sent on the road to play national seeds or losing regionals at home? No matter how you try to spin this, it is a glaring statistic. For the last seven years we do not have a meaningful post-season win.

But somehow he is being lauded as a postseason hero.

He's a postseason 'hero' because he's basically the winningest active postseason coach in the country.

I know that you don't like facts but it's true.

And that was built up a decade ago. Why are you so afraid to look at the last seven years? Why do you insist on lumping his whole career together as though the 1997 season is relevant to this discussion?

Over the last seven years, the "winningest postseason coach" is 17-16. Tim Corbin is 39-17. Yeah Miami!! We have Jim Morris!!

Jim Schlossnagel, who took over a program that had one win in a regional game from 1896 -2003, is 31-17 in the postseason over the last seven years. But we have Jim Morris, who won a ton of regional games in the 90's.

Because the committee is usually terrible and always lazy.

There's no conceivable reason why we were matched with Florida in 2009, 2010 and 2011 except just lazy regionalization.

Because it's the same guy and except for a small time frame when he was without a top assistant he's won as consistently as anybody in the country.

Why are you still obsessing about 2011-12?

The team won last year and is winning right now.

You have nothing to go on in the last decade, so you have to lean on the great run we had in his first ten years.

Your entire argument is based on one bad stretch we had from 2009-13. Otherwise the issues have been rectified as any rational person can see.

Yet you claim that I'm living in the past.

Good one.

That's the point......why are we always the underdog?

Always?

Good lord.

You pick one 5 years stretch where we weren't better than two of the best programs at the time and now we're always the underdog.

Get a grip.

Either we're the underdog and lose to a #1 ......
Or we're a favorite and never get to play a #1 because we lose to a #2 . Or a #4 .

It's either one or the other for 7 straight years. How is it possible to NEVER beat a #1 seed for 7 straight years.
