Yea we better start winning or showing young phenoms who can out class the acc. I ain't trying to reach Michigan them boys are never going to beat the SEC. I don't care if they use that green ninja turtle sh. Problem is those other schools develop talented dudes stacked two deep. I don't care how much Michigan develops they better land some game changer. Or they going to be stuck in the mud.
Yeah we are essentially in year 2 of the new world order of college football

But you look at recruiting and it’s still UGA/Bama/OSU and then everyone else jockeying for position behind them. Michigans class was terrible last year can’t have those types of classes if they want to compete

Yup hopefully this trash offseason means we have a big season

I laughed at people who said bama and those schools can't NIL cause "big cities"

Completely forgetting social media shrunk the world. Social media the worst thing to happen to cane football in the early 2000's. No one is hidden everyone knows who's good.

Getting late early on DL recruiting.

Lightfoot is a tremendous prospect, borderline legit 5-star IMO on the edge.

Jones is much of the same inside, an excellent prospect by any measure.

But we all know we need several more kids at these spots. Those 2 and Russell are not gonna cut it.

Of the kids we were significantly in play for:

Stewart now off the board
Scott off the board
Rudolph off the board, but maybe there is a potential for a flip?
Gilmore off the board
Kendall Jackson off the board
Jayden Jackson off the board

So who is still in play?

Kam Franklin is probably target #1 right now, but after 6 visits, still no commitment
Collin Simmons uncommitted, but unlikely
David Stone, looking like OU
TJ Lindsey, not coming
LJ McCray, unlikely as of now
Aydin Breland still in the realm of possibility

So unless we flip some kids, which of course is unlikely, our best case scenario is adding Franklin and Breland to the 3 we have committed? That would be fantastic, but that's adding probably both of the only kids we have a shot with. Unless I'm missing something?

There's a real chance we end up with Lightfoot, Jones, Russell, and then some lower ranked kids who were not priorities this summer. That's not good enough, IMO. And that's with holding onto the commits we do have, which we know Jones has at least somewhat flirted with Five Stars Undrafted.

Who am I missing? I'll judge the class when the ink dries, but as I said, getting real late real early here with what we all wanted to be one of the very best DL classes in the country.
Lighfoot was going to be pursued heavy regardless, but with Taint missing on Stewart, expect them to really turn up the heat. We will spend our excess NIL from missed targets, trying to secure the ones we got.

All I kept hearing from certain posters a few months ago trying to deflect from our QB recruiting woes was about how we were going to land the most epic DL class in the country.

We were allocating most of our NIL money to stack the DL class with elite talent across the board, they said. Stewart was at the very top of our overall board. While we wouldn’t “overpay” for some of the recruits we lost battles for, it was because guys like Stewart were far more important.

Well, look at us now with a class 2/3rds comprised of commits ranked 3* or lower with gaping holes at QB & CB and no solution at those premier positions in sight. We just lost the battle for the recruit at the very top of the board. OL recruiting in this class compared to last year’s haul looks as different as night and day.

Mario better win 9+ this season with no humiliating losses or else this is heading in a very obvious direction.

I love seeing people keep defending the NIL and recruiting situation.

WE HAVE MORE KIDS OUTSIDE THE TOP 900 THAN IN THE TOP 250.

Like c’mon bruh, stop sucking him off and making excuses. It’s f^cking right in front of you. Wait til Franklin…ohhh buddy it’s going to be bad on here. We’re not playing the same NIL game. If we were, the bleeding would have stopped.

If he doesn’t win 8 games this year, Mario might be a dead man walking. And that’s a scary thought. We’d owe him 40 mil after 5 years, it’s cheaper to give him proper NIL RIGHT NOW and save this class.

Sad part… I don’t think he can do any wrong on the field, and get fired with in the next 3-4 years.

Miami’s problem, has and will continue to be the idiots running it and making hires.

We’ve legit not have a real coaching search in what.. 15 years? ***** a joke.

So now our recruiting is trash again......you guys are too **** hard to keep up with!

we suck again GIF

I actually like Mich alot this year.. lol.. They bring back alot of talent and have been to playoffs back to back years (yea they got smoked has to count for something) If there is any year for them to get over hump, with OSU, Bama, UGA all breaking in new qbs, it might be this season for them..

Yup they will try and flip and they are good at it. I'm surprised they been a thorn in Mario's side. Since Mario arrived he's run into OSU a lot. I never really paid any attention to OSU but now I see that they do not play when it comes to recruiting.

Factssssssss!

What is happening with QB recruiting is criminal, with the talent that is being brought in at RB/WR/TE and OL.

Like why is this not a bigger deal then it is? How the **** do they think this kid JB11 is the answer? ( Love the kid btw).. but fans wonder why the elite guys at skill positions on offense shy away.

They can’t throw to themselves!! 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Good news is he went to SCAR he's the lead guy with no other help. They won't win but he will be beast and that's good enough for them. At least he didn't go to a playoff team. Still a big whiff but it is what it is

I did love JB but he can't throw lol. Hopefully this offense is easy for him quick throws. A good OC can do things with him but he ain't no NFL QB. Great kid though one of the best kids when it comes to character. Love his interviews he seems chill and coachable asf.
