Not trying to pump Mario's tires here and I know not everyone agrees but I do think the strategy of letting these guys "find another job" instead of firing them should be the preferred way to go about business. In obvious cases like Guidry, sure, fire the guy. But assistant coaches for sure see something like this and respect it.
All of that said, not sorry to see him go and agree with everything about his subpar recruiting. We can do better and I am glad we are not letting personal relationships stand in the way of getting better.
