i dont buy that joe is a better dline coach than JT. Our dline didn’t regress either our secondary and coordinator got exposed and made the dline impact lessen

If teams are scheming up **** wide open, or just picking on any db theey want besides 1 then yea your dline wont be as impactful.

When the other factors held up their end the dline was good. Vs Florida, vs Louisville we only got stops cause of the dline, vs Syracuse we built the lead off the dline getting pressure, vs cal the comeback when the secondary and guidry wasn’t getting cooked we shut them down

Its easy to blame the dline because everyone hyped them up as a top10 unit and thought they would mask our terrible secondary. So because the secondary and guidry was worse than we imagined so the dline gets the blame BS narrative

So the board is telling Mario who he has to keep on staff? As in the board of directors for the University of Miami?

I hope that's not true.
Lil extreme there. All boards throughout football period including the NFL have input on hiring and firings. It's minimal but it certainly exists. You think Mario is the one in charge of salaries, buy outs etc? A gm doesn't do anything not ran bye certain individuals as well.

Without divulging anything specific, are you hearing any other names that would excite you?
Reading these other comments is why myself and many others don't share much on the board anymore. Look at all the comments about the board forcing everything like Mario needs everyone to sign off on everything. They have input and that's not new to Mario or the University of miami. That's all of college football that's all of the NFL, that's all of sports, that's major businesses in general. Y'all just sit back and you'll see soon.

- less stress working at Arizona.
- less pressure to recruit and develop

It was beyond time. Good for him landing on his feet.

So maybe you're not aware so I'll correct a little bit here. That's Samoan connection were speaking on netted more than simply Francis and Kiko and then tinolu. Just in the immediate, the Samoan connection is what brought Elijah lofton, It's also what brought us SJ in this class. SJ and Elijah's people are one in the same. They only came here specifically because of Joe. I know this for fact since I know Elijah and SJ's people pretty well. I have a feeling Gorman isn't going to be a stomping grounds for us any longer. But I'm hoping that I'm wrong with that part. Because at the end of the day they're at least pretty professional how they go about things at Gorman.

Far as get JT out of here, I certainly wouldn't mind it. But it's probably not going to happen. Maybe his title changes. I doubt that even. But we literally just cost ourselves Ryan Walters because jt was one of the names that we were fighting for. I know everybody likes to blame Mario for the names associated with the staffs etc. But JT was demanded to stay on by the board. Myself I would have far rathered have Ryan Walters here and everybody else on the defensive side of the ball could kick rocks. What stopped him from coming here was JT and Nicholson. We gave up on Nicholson's staying on staff. We conceded that but the board wasn't willing to let JT go. That's why Ryan Walters ended up at Washington instead of here.
So Miami is still run by complete amateurs, awesome

many here would wind up feeling stupid (if they had any self-awareness) if they found out some of the people who they’re talking to and what they would be able to find out if everyone wasn't so ******* stupid all the time lol.

We better get another Samoan on staff. Growing up around few Samoans and how they interact with family, friends, and even acquaintances, I think it matters when recruiting Polynesian kids.
Joe was here on his own merits not because he's Polynesian. The fact that had recruiting confections outside of Miami's footprint was a bonus to the program.

Your comments as well as the comments of others are racial. It's like saying we need black coaches to recruit black players and white coaches to recruit white players.

I mean I can't say what anybody else said. You can feel free to read what I said before the spring games the end of last season what I was saying about how things were going to look this year you guys feel free to put the blame wherever you want maybe you're a dolphins fan I don't know. But the d line has a lot of blame to go into that and if you think they didn't regress you're allowed to have your own opinions brother but we didn't even play any top o line units and we still weren't getting home half the time now am I saying a lot of that didn't have to do with injuries no not at all what I'm saying tons of it had to do with injuries. But the way we were calling the game not just as a defensive coordinator but as a unit didn't help at all.

I don't know if he meant them in a racial manner or not. But in reality Samoans are very family-oriented they go around individuals that in most instances they have familial connections towards feel free to look at all the places where the Samoans go throughout college football you'll find Samoans on staff I wouldn't take that as any racial comment I would take that as simple fact losing Joe hurts in that manner

I would agree with your comment, but those kid's aren't just being recruited by Samoan coaches. It would be nice if our staff continues those relationships given we've had several Samoan players.

Ok I didn't mean for it to be extreme. I'm surprised that Mario would be willing to let go of JT in order to get a new DC but the board has the authority to get him to stay, costing Mario the DC he wants to hire.

I'll bet it's probably a little more nuanced and back and forth than that and Mario probably also wants JT to stay.
