Do schools really pay players??

This is the only proof you need. When schools like Ole Miss are landing elite recruits and a have a class at the top you know.

But not all are getting paid, only the elite ones. I'd venture most are just getting treated like stars more so than paid, free crap things like that. But to be elite you gotta get the elite.

I agree they don't get used like we do, but they had some decommitments after bad losses under Macelwain. Facts they would have been clowing us until we made the playoffs again lol. I think last year shows just how bad a recruiter Mark is and how good FSU and UFs recruiters are. We don't get the same respect though. No one apologies for throwing the U down.

Only a guy who didn't attend a major football school would claim that. Go look at the parking lot at Bama's practice facility. Yeah all those low-income kids are paying for their own $75k cars

It's not the only reason, but when you're offering a scholarship and UGA is offering a house for your parents, regular payments of cash, and jobs for family members, it's hard to win that battle.

Bama, UGA, etc fans dont even deny it. The only people that deny it are our trash "fans,"

Saban poisonous tree has one simple formula,pay for players.His disciples who he has taught our Smart,Pruitt,Coley at LSU,and now most of the SEC who have learned that paying players is the only way to compete.We no longer have amateur players but paid professionals at Bama,Georgia ,and the rest of the SEC who are playing catch up to the Saban formula.Look at the coaches salaries,and the schools budget and it proves that cheating pays.Spending annually an average of 50.000 dollars per player or 1.2 million per year in pay offs to players is pennies on the dollar for the money they bring to the school and to reward the cheating coaches.Hugh Frreze was making over one million dollars and he started paying players ,won games including Bama with his paid five star recruits and was rewarded with a 4 mlllion contract for multiple years at Mississippi.Look at Sabans contract,or Kirby Smart who replaced Richt because he would not cheat.Emmert and the NCAA our complicit since they also have a high salaries to keep the status quo.College football will never be the same and the salary cap will keep going up for players because cheating in today's environment pays.

I was going to school in Orlando when Culpepper was there. He came to a party in that Navigator with rims and a sound system, wearing fresh clothes and jewelry. That was when 20's cost over $5000, I was like yeah, that isn't obvious.

There has been NUMEROUS guys who have come forward and told how they had been paid.HBO had 3 guys on a special.The NCAA knowsits going on but because Emmett knows his boy Nicky is at the forefront of it he doesn’t want to know.
I know of a certain LSU back that got about 1/2 million dollars in stuff over his 3 years.and a TAM WR that got about the same...a WR that was rumored to be a Cane lean last year( and all it was was a rumor.There was never a chance) was driving around in a yellow mustang given to him by LSU until he switched to Bama.He now drives a grey charger and his momma has a new house in Amite,La.This is jus a few of the ones I know about.

The amounts of money being given these top kids is staggering.EVERY school does it.The $EC just does it on a way different level.

And schools in Big 12 can compete with SEC. starting to look like a few have the right coaches in place now to get their system going....

Obviously bags get dropped and plays a part, but so does getting recruited by a guy that got fired from UGA for performance reasons.

You know you can buy a car with a school loan? My wife was a D1 athlete on a full ride and her car came from a student loan.
