2024 DL Kamarion Franklin 2.0 (commits to Ole Miss)

Mincey and Stone combo versus Quan and Kam combo….if we were guaranteed one or the other who are you taking?

Me?

Mincey and Stone….without a doubt.

Ehhh

If Franklin not in that group he's pretty **** close to that group imo….

I mean if absolutely twist my arm I'd give Stewart and Stone the extra extra dollar.
Each year less teams will spend on high school athletes who have a better than not chance of being a bust.

portal proven players? sure, but paying extra for a high school kid that could leave the next year is going to happen less and less as teams get burned

Unfortunately not at all
It’s just gonna go up and up until there some sort of arbitrary cap put on top
Look at the nfl even bust after bust the contracts kept going up until they implemented the rookie salary cap
Teams/fans/nil collectibles are homers
If they have money they’ll keep drinking the kool aid and spending

yeah I mean I don't think that's true. A&M is a prime example, they pulled back HEAVY after they spent all that $ and people portaled out a year later.

now NIL deals can be split up and structured in a way that incentivizes people to stay for sure, and I'm not saying NIL is going away by any means but just throwing a ton of money at a bunch of players hoping to build an elite class is not the way as there's no legitimate reason to suspect those players will stay with the program, especially when the money can be prioritized to retain current stars and/or get proven stars through the portal - both of which are way more certain things than a high school athlete

Yea
I’m with u but I’m just convinced that
The teams that are gonna spend will keep spending no matter how many busts they have
The difference is bags is gonna get bigger and bigger between the top bag teams and the rest
I just hope we can keep up

From Ole Miss mod

**My bad, no screen shots. Ole Miss feels good now and they have placed a CB for him. Says they just spoke to Kam and no decision has been made but thinks Ole Miss is in good position right now.

🤷🏾‍♂️

Sounds like an NIL battle royal, so I’m not optimistic.

“Ole Miss feels good here”

Oh no, next thing they’ll be in the kitchen and watching the finish and we will really be screwed…

The general consensus on this thread appears to be that this one will come down to who has the biggest bag. We know that Mario can recruit with the best of them. It is because of this that we’ve got this level of interest and number of visits from this cat. Now, we’ve got to help Mario finish it up with big bags.
