Butch's evaluating & recruiting abilities goes even further than Santana. Couple that with Grade A Development and you have Canton Ohio.

Oh yes 100% was just using Santana as a good example. Had Coker and his staff been in charge they wouldn’t have even recruited Santana because he wasn’t a top250 recruit.

Butch had a unique ability to find talent in the guys that weren’t ranked as top recruits. Ed Reed, Reggie Wayne (both Louisiana guys), Bryant McKinnie (Juco), Jeremy Shockey (Juco) etc… He also pulled in his fair share of the top rated guys! Master recruiter!

Gaby has a few write ups this morning, too. He pointed out that one of the factors mentioned to him was whether Franklin will suck it up and be a bible -belt kid who leaves the SEC. Not many of his caliber do that and regardless of how many in his family are okay with a move to Miami, Franklin has to want it for himself...

bro thats excuses. read between the lines. its money. if we matched the bag, hes coming here. nothing changed. he may like it here but the money isnt right and just like AU, we stink too so it isnt like were infinitely better than they are. if we dont match the bag and lose his commitment, its a fail overall on everyone involved with recruiting (collective, coaches, etc.). i will give the coaches props for bringing him on campus 7 or so times. he clearly likes them enough to come back here
