he throws his players under the bus too.Brian Kelly is such an assclown. I don’t understand why any kid would play for that guy, assuming they are also getting similar offers from other big schools.
We doing that thing again where it can’t just be:
1. Mario has done a really good job landing 91.00 average recruits the last few years while not winning any games
2. 91.00 average recruit ranking is not elite we gotta do better. Its very good recruiting but in particular we’ve struggled landing elite playmakers
he throws his playersunder the busoff scissor lifts too.
Outside of Brashard which of our castoffs have really given them anything significant ?
JHH leaving here was inexplicable really. And anytime I've watched SMU play Smith doesn't make that many plays.Harvey, Roberts and JHH are top 4 in sacks for their team. Keyshawn Smith is 2nd in receiving yards
Are y'all okay?
A DJ Pickett thread turned into an argument about Lashlee.
never change CIS, never change lol
From the LSU ON3 board this morning:
- more than 75% of LSU’s class has had new NIL deals thrown their way from teams, and most of that news isn’t public given the Tigers locked in and got it done. So, there have been wins both public with commits shutting it down, but also behind closed doors.
As for Pickett, LSU has had daily talks with his representation, including an extended talk on Tuesday, multiple sources tell The Bengal Tiger staff. What I do know is that even with a big NIL package already out there, the Tigers have upped it over time, sources confirmed. And after the loss of Underwood, LSU is fully aware that holding on to Pickett is a massive priority. He’s got their full attention this next week…
*** Michigan was reportedly jumping in the mix, and we know Oregon was a major player here, and there’s buzz around Florida trying to take a final swing, but in my opinion, the biggest threat would still be Miami when talking which program has the best chance at a flip. We’ve said it all along, but Miami was going to be the team to watch until the final hours given they are in-state, he’s visited the Hurricanes plenty and he’s got a cousin on roster. All that was also true when he committed to LSU this summer, and has remained the case the entire fall as he stayed committed to the Tigers. Don’t be shocked if a final visit to Miami happens, whether public or not, before the dead period kicks in on Monday. The Hurricanes have pressed hard and continue to do so, and getting him down there one more time has been something they have pushed hard for, sources close to both LSU and Miami tell me.
- Pickett and his family will head to LSU on Friday and stay until Sunday. He will be there for the Oklahoma game on Saturday night, but more importantly, he is in Baton Rouge the final three days before the NCAA’s Dead Period begins and the Early Signing Period arrives next Wednesday. I’m told both LSU and Miami fully expect Pickett to be at LSU this weekend, so him following through on that visit will be huge. It would give them the final visit, and you would hope that a few days out from signing, things can get to a spot where it’s done and LSU is just waiting on Wednesday for him to sign.
*** For those curious, I am told my multiple sources that LSU and Miami have presented similar NIL packages to Pickett as of this week. Miami has a huge NIL backing, but LSU’s not in a spot right now where the only hope hinges on Pickett choosing the school he wants to be at and follow through on his commitment – a decision largely driven by what he said Corey Raymond can do to develop him and how he fits in with the Tigers and culture in Baton Rouge. As of Tuesday afternoon, both teams are in similar spots on the NIL front, per sources separate from both LSU and Miami, but with knowledge of the recruitment.
-Can LSU get Pickett across the most important finish line? That’s to be determined, but the good news is there’s a week to go, he heads to LSU for three days before the dead period begins, and he’s going to not only be surrounded by double-digit commits this weekend, but also will get to see Patrick Peterson again. Peterson will be in town this weekend, and if you remember, he was in town for Pickett’s official visit prior to him committing to the Tigers. The pair of Florida natives have grown close, as have their parents. Once more, LSU is ready to roll out a final red carpet to keep Pickett locked in. If he indeed arrives on Friday as expected, that will say a lot about how this could ultimately wrap up – in a good way – for LSU. Again, he’s still committed, he’s active in chatting with the LSU commits behind the scenes and on social media, he has daily chats with Raymond and his family has been upfront the whole time on visits and more. Now it’s about the finish, and from talking with tons of sources, even without the NIL backing of some other schools, LSU is still viewed as the team expected to sign the 5-star+ cornerback prospect. But, the Tigers know the Miami surge (and push from others) is there and will continue, and it’s one they seem to be countering each day. With a week to go, this will be over soon regardless of which school he signs with, but I think this weekend’s LSU visit can’t be overstated given it’s coming right before the dead period arrives. I do firmly believe Pickett wants to be at LSU, and this weekend gives them ample time to lock everything in with face-to-face conversations and time spent together on campus
And now you just confirmed you don’t know ball.Rankings don’t mean everything. Bain wasn’t a 5 star. OJ was ranked low. X was a 3 star.
**** cam was a zero star.
Bain is not elite? Francisco Mauigoa is not elite? The only thing “elite” in your post is your arrogance,And now you just confirmed you don’t know ball.
@Rellyrell do we have to introduce why stars matter again?
Do you guys want me to pull up Bama’s classes from 2010 - 2020 or FSU’s during their run with Jimbo and show how many Top 50 players they hoarded? How about Ohio State? What about UGA the last 6 years? You know, the programs that actually won national championships instead of people running around celebrating rose bowl victories?
This board has no idea what elite looks like, because we haven’t seen it.
Mario has been a tremendous closer. But to say we’ve lost ONE recruiting battle…lmao you’re a full blown sheep if you believe that.

Mario has been a tremendous closer. But to say we’ve lost ONE recruiting battle…lmao you’re a full blown sheep if you believe that. There’s no shame in losing battles to the big boys (Inniss, Hykeem Williams, Colin Simmons, Dylan Stewart, Aguero, Kevin Riley, CJ Baxter, Connor Lew, Jeremiah Smith, Chris Cole, Air Noland, I could keep going but you get the point now). Sometimes the prospects don’t pan out. Sometimes they do.
But to say we are like Saban at Bama or Kirby at UGA, getting whoever we want…lies lol.
