Why do these people think it’s impossible to flip an Oregon kid? It’s ridiculous! Ohio St has been more successful and we have flipped major recruits the past two classes.

Because Ryan Day looks like the Oxi-Clean guy and many Ohio State fans won’t stop trying to compare him to Urban Meyer.

Lanning, at least for now, is viewed by many casual fans as the defensive version of Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma, except a relentless recruiter. 5 star recruits knew there was a fair chance they’d be on the bench behind two other 5 stars at Ohio State . Oregon isn’t so deep at every position that elite recruits are going to need to wait their turn.

No I agree it should be 10 wins or bust but when’s the last time this program won 9 games? 2017? Every year same **** this team has all the talent in the world, favorable schedule, etc and goes out and win 6-7 games. Figure 9 is a good starting point lol.

I would bet the house he doesn’t have a top 5 class if he does that again this year, even 8 wins won’t cut it. Kids aren’t stupid, 3 years of failing is much different than 2. There’s no “it’s not my roster excuse”, there’s no “the culture” excuse, there’s no “we don’t have the talent” excuse. There’s literally no excuse. So what’s he going to tell the 2025 kids if he falls on his face again? Year 4 is my year?

Not even mentioning we’ve gone all in this year from a financial perspective, and the 2025 schedule is hard + we’re going to lose close to half our projected starting 22 and even more key depth…
